Perfect little hotel for a short stay, in the heart of Jesmond there are loads of bars and restaurants nearby to explore, also just a 25 minute walk to the city centre. Extremely clean with all the essentials Would defo recommend
Stayed here before when it was not owned by oyo. -(Rooms dated but were clean and lovely FULL cooked breakfast with cereal and toast.) BUT THIS TRIP WAS DIFFERENT. OMG now ron by OYO rooms still the same but fighting in room next to me, doors constantly banging. The place was empty but they put us together. I was on my own so very scared. The walls are thin so you hear everything. Very violent language.this lasted for hours. I called to reception by phone. The bloke did bang their door and told them to be quiet but it all kicked off again at 3am so no sleep for me. Breakfast consisted of cereal juice and toast(1 piece) what no cooked brekkie? No you have to pay £5 now. BUT IT STATES ON THE HOTEL THAT YOU GET A FULL COMPLEMENTARY BREAKFAST. I went upstairs packed my bag and left. Id payed for more nights but couldnt stay a minute longer. Booked in at holiday inn express for final stay. Wont be going back to Dean hotel. Not pleasant. Think it must be refuge for homeless on the dss by the sounds I heard. Sorry to the nice indian lady on reception. She was lovely and helpful.…
The decor is a bit tired But clean Shower very much on small side Bed was comfortable The staff very helpful The lift badly needs to be upgraded but gets you there in the end.Breakfast for being continental is very good
Staff couldn't do enuf for us problem with radiator when we arrived night porter Michael bled it and got us portable heater for the night fully repaired while we out next morning cooked breakfast sublime locally sourced also plentiful continental served by the lovely Kaz room wee bit dated but new shower room would stay again
We have stayed here twice and it is great value for money. The reception staff and breakfast staff are very friendly. The room was very clean and the bathroom/shower were excellent. It is just a few minutes' walk from the centre of Jesmond but is on a fairly quiet side street. Permit parking outside but there is a small car park at the rear or the staff can provide parking permits to borrow.
