stayed here last night as I was going to see Simply Red at the Arena , The hotel was easy to get to by car , ( my husband dropped me off ) . From the moment I stepped inside I had exceptional service from beginning to end . Even a very kind member of the cleaning staff saw me... More

We had a two night stay here. It wasn't the best three star hotel I've stayed in: uncomfortable bed, thin walls, tired decor and faint smell of stale cigarettes HOWEVER the staff were all fantastic, the breakfast in the cafe was great and the location is brilliant right on the river and surrounded by places to eat and drink. Fine... More

My husband and I stayed here last night as we were going to a gig in Newcastle. We were going to book the Travel lodge but spotted this on a last minute 'secret deal' (it wasn't very secret, we guessed easily which hotel it was from the description) for slightly less and in a better location. We paid £45 room... More

Centrally located close to one of the many bridges in Newcastle. The hotel is quite old style but clean. Very friendly and helpful receptionist that even fixed breakfast in the restaurant below at 6 in the morning so i would catch my train. A 3 star hotel but very cosy as such.

We stayed in this hotel over the weekend as a last minute night out. On arrival it says there is on site car parking however we couldn't locate this. Receptionist was lovely and checked us in great and was exceptionally helpful. When we got to our room we were completely disappointed, the carpets were dirty, bed old and tatty, furniture... More

Great location, right next to some fantastic bars & craft pubs. Don't stay in room 204 though. You can hear the next room even moving spoons for tea & coffee the lack of soundproofing is that bad! The black and red wires! are left open on the smoke alarm above your head. Rooms badly need a refurb. I've stayed before... More

This little hotel is tucked in at quayside on the Tyne, just where the Swing Bridge joins the north bank. Very convenient location, particularly as I was finishing a long bicycle trip and it was right on the NCR 72 'Hadrian's Wall' route. Staff were friendly and helpful (they were happy to store my bicycle overnight in the manager's office).... More

I was seeing friends play at the riverside club across the road from the hotel. It was a great location, lots of bars and restaurants around the hotel. Staff were friendly and efficient. The hotel room was comfortable and clean. Tea and coffee facilities.

Stayed for 2 nights for a hen weekend. The hotel is centrally located for getting about Newcastle but it desperately needs a refurb. The rooms were tired and could've been doing with a deep clean, or just refurbished completely, particularly in the bathroom as there was mould etc. It was ideal for what we had booked it for but I... I had read a few reviews before we booked it....and they were very mixed...and we soon fond out why. On arrival we were met by Jake, such a lovely receptionist who insisted he helped carry our luggage to the room as this involved taking it in a lift to the first floor reception and then in another lift to access... Although the hotel doesn’t serve lunch or evening meals the immediate area boasts an excellent range of restaurants and cafes in which to enjoy any variety of meal. The famous Jimmyz Bar has been a landmark venue in Newcastle since the major re-development of the Quayside in the early 90’s.
