Was meant to post this a couple of months back but totally forgot! We stay in travelodge’s all the time but for the first time we decided to take Penny, our dog. We were made to feel really welcome on arrival and they put us in a lovely room with a good view with lots of space out of the way of other guests which I was really glad about as was a little nervous with the dog. The guy on reception was lovely, and couldn’t do enough for us. We added breakfast which was unlimited but due to covid we had to fill out a form with what we wanted and it was all brought to our table. Although this is a central hotel I felt it was a bit of a walk to the actual town centre and all basically up hill. But nevertheless it was a good location and we really enjoyed our stay. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back. Thanks guys for the great stay. X

Fantastic stay. Room was immaculate on arrival. Nothing was too much of an ask for any of the staff. Emma, Emma, Alex and Jason all were very polite and very helpful through your stay. Will definitely be back.

Birthday weekend in Newcastle. Decided to stay here as it was close to the centre and close to the river. Checking in was no problem. Staying for 3 nights. The room was a distance away from reception, along 2 corridors and across a glass walkway. Once in the room, I found it was very small and cramped. I also found that there was only half a toilet roll between us and we were staying for 3 nights. The bathroom stunk, a mixture of many unpleasant smells. It was very unpleasant and again very cramped. Very little room to use the toilet or the sink. Had to sit diagonally on the toilet there was so little space! And the door only just shut without catching the toilet. The carpet was also very dated, tatty, worn and hadn't been hoovered very well as there was visible bits of dirt. The hotel is not worth staying in. There were also car parking charges of £8 a day, so its much more worth travelling by train. Brings a whole new meaning to "cheap and nasty"

Stayed 3 nights, very clean and comfortable. Superb Shower! Want one like this at home. Staff extremely helpful. Asked for directions to a specific place and a member of staff on a break came after me when he saw I had turned in the wrong direction.
