We were on a tour of Ireland,Scotland,Wales and England and this is one of the hotels we stayed for one night. The hotel was average but value for money. The rooms are too small - especially for twin sharing?

The bed and pillows were rock hard . The food in the bistro was dreadful small steak which was tough and watery sauce over cooked chips .overall not...

The room was excellent, very clean and comfortable. We were unfortunate to be in the hotel the same time as a couch tour. The restaurant was over booked and we were not able to eat early which we ask for. 20.00hrs is to late for us. The breakfast was also basic.

I like this place, very friendly staff, good location, local shops and restaurants, but... don't expect to get served promptly in the bar. One or two cocktail orders, the bar staff are fully occupied and the level of service takes a nose dive. Over10 minutes waiting for a glass of wine on a quiet Tuesday night. Managememt team - you need...

Excellent location for Freeman hospital, only 2 miles away, we found it easiest to get a taxi only £3.80 each way, door to door, no messing about getting lost or parking. Lovely hotel, excellent value for money, my brother and i stayed here whilst visiting our dad in freeman hospital. Rooms clean and comfy, shower great, bed a little on...

Just laying in bed as we speak listening to the crappy music and shouts and screams, if you want a good nights sleep, do not stop here. Better with a premier, food ok in the bar, price was cheap, I suppose you get what u pay for

Booked this hotel through booking dot com with another couple. Arrived late saturday night and there was a problem with our booking, as we had amended to two rooms in the week but unfortunately the hotel had not processed this information. These mistakes happen, and the hotel could not have been better. Both the lady on reception (sorry I didn't...

The woman who took my telephone booking at the hotel group's central booking office was extremely helpful - especially as I called two days before the date of arrival. However, the promised email confirmation from the Caledonian did not arrive, and when I phoned the hotel direct, they had no record of my booking. The problem seemed to be a...

My wife and I enjoyed a lovely stay at the Caledonia hotel in Jesmond. A very pleasant double room awaited us after a seamless check in with the well trained and efficient reception staff . Breakfast buffet was more akin to a hotel with more stars. Our overall stay was delightful and beyond our expectations. Well done to the management...

After getting married at this hotel last year we returned for a nights stay in the Jesmond suite for our first anniversary at the weekend. Yet again it was an amazing night, we checked in about 6:30pm on the Saturday night and ordered champagne and tapas to our room which was beautiful. Had a lovely nights sleep and a fab...
