Avoid this place at all costs. These serviced apartments are perfectly nice inside and if they were in a different location I would probably be happy to go back. The service is nothing special but it is a serviced apartment and not a hotel. The problem is the location. It is on a busy main street and every single night (during the week, not just the weekend) I was kept awake until 4am by drunk girls and boys screaming. There is no sound insulation and it feels like you are sleeping in the middle of the street. Eventually when the locals decide to go home to sleep it off the delivery lorries for the shops downstairs start to arrive. Then you get to listen to palettes being scraped along the floor like nails down a chalkboard. I have never written an online review before but this place was so bad that I felt compelled. Don't make the same mistake as me.

Thanks for the review, It does sound like you were at the front of the property- this faces the main pedestrianised shopping street. This is an immensely prestige location and not in the "Bar Belt" so should be one of the quieter streets in Newcastle. All rooms are fitted with at least two very solid doors between living/ sleeping spaces and all windows are double glazed , however we have taken this on board and we are looking at upgrading the window seals. We also have several rooms to the rear of the property and we will always try to move guests where we are notified of any problems.

Stayed for one night and found the location great if you want to step out straight onto the pedestrianised high street. Not so good for parking as you have to use the NCP. Had a 2 bed apartment which was fitted out very well, with large flat screen TV in kitchen/lounge and flatscreens in both bedrooms. It needs a realy good clean. Bed was comfy, but was awoken by the bins being emptied in the adjacent alleyway at 22.30 and 04.30 - Not impressed. Reception is not 24hr and I can see this being noisy at weekends. It was OK on a Tuesday night.

We have recently taken over this property and certainly the flooring in some rooms has been looking a bit tired - we have stripped and repolished the flooring as this was a 'little tired'. The property is already fully double glazed but we are looking at replacing seals which should lock out even more of the usual 'city noise'- we like to know about these things! I would urge anyone with a problem with city noise to raise it with us as we have rooms at the rear or front (Both pedestrianised!) We have appointed a new manager and she is concentrating upon bringing the hotel up to spec. Thank you for your review

I stayed in these apartments with friends for one night. The apartments are clean, modern and ideally located in the city centre. They are however badly sighposted and hard to find. The rooms are spacious, modern, clean and very comfortable. The lady on the desk was also very helpful. They are a bit pricey but i would reccomend them to stay in

This property has been wrongly listed by TripAdvisor and I have written to let them know. NE1 7DE is not in Northern Ireland! This property benefits from being very central in Newcastle and is directly opposite Fenwicks. The apartment we stayed in was 502 and it has two bedrooms and two bathrooms and the lounge/kitchen/dining area. For £99 a night, which is what we paid it was perfect. As an apartment rather than a hotel it is totally self catering and there are no real services provided. The man on Reception does his job but other than that he sits there looking pretty bored and surfs the net. He could benefit from smiling occasionally and you would think that having a guest would brighten up his day and not be an interruption to his net surfing! I would recommend staying here though as the apartments are all self contained and because of the location you are very close to everything you would need in Newcastle and there are plenty of coffee shops and places to eat and drink and to get food.

We have now appointed new managers for this hotel (and a refit to the reception area) And we're always delighted to see guests. The rooms are nice but we are trying to make them quieter, Glossier (floors) and more luxurious. Thanks for the review.
