We are locals to the Dukes Head and have enjoyed many great times in the pub. Since Malcolm the manager has left and the owner is ever more present the atmosphere has changed. When Graham the chef is there he looks after us and bends over backwards to get us anything we want. Malcolm and Graham made the pub and...

Hadn't been to the Duke's Head in ages as over time it had become run down and really had a bad name. Then came new owners and now I try and come as often as possible. Their Sunday lunch is to die for. Lovely choice of home cooked meats, and masses of roasted veggies with beautiful Yorkshire puddings. Their puds...

A lovely pub, great food, great atmosphere, very welcoming. Wholeheartedly recommend! The menu is varied and ideal for couples or groups alike. Mike the landlord welcomes everyone, knows the locals and is always attentive to make sure everyone's needs are met. Great pub.

Went for Sunday lunch in the hope we'd find a good local carvery. The food was good, the chef serving it was welcoming and made the effort to engage in a bit of chit chat. The bar staff however were clearly too interested in loudly discussing their hangover and totally ignored us. The radio in the kitchen was so loud...

Good quality pub grub very conveniently situated about halfway between London and West Sussex coast. Nice range of well cooked and presented dishes in pleasant surroundings. Easy parking and kids play area.

For years this has been a pub to avoid (though it has a few rooms, it is a pub, not an hotel). From its heyday 30-odd years ago it just went downhill. Now though, it's owner-managed and, hooray, the owners know what they're doing. They've stripped it out & scrubbed it up and they're running the best Sunday carvery I've...

Full roast choice of turkey beef & veg and potatoes, big Yorkshire puddings etc. Food very tasty and reasonably priced. I liked the fact you can help yourself to veg on the carvery so you can have as much...

This classification as a hotel is not correct. It is a pub with a few rooms above. Ok if you are a builder working in the area but not where you would want to stay for a break. The food is good but overpriced, it has a bit of an identity crisis going on. It is a pub try to...
