My husband booked one of the suites for my birthday and they did such an amazing job in terms of amenities and organizing everything as per my husband’s request. We’ve stayed before and it’s my favorite hotel ever. It has so much character, every door takes you to a completely ne

We had a dip in the pool etc before our afternoon tea, unfortunately the steam room was out of order, apparently that’s a regular occurance. We were offered a glass of proscecco each as compensation which was nice. We entered the main building for our afternoon tea, we waited a w

Beautiful manor house in the Suffolk countryside, close to the coast. A very warm and friendly welcome and consistently high level of service. Sunday evening menu was quite restricted and the quality of food did not meet expectation. Creative but not executed in terms of seasonin

We have been going to this hotel and restaurant before our son was born in 1983. It was a really special place for us to visit. Hopefully the new regime will incorporate more of the traditional values that we enjoyed.

Visited for staff Christmas meal generously paid for by management. The hall looks stunning from the outside but the experience was very disappointing. The room we dined in was cold. Service was very slow, someone was missed out on each course and the staff had to be summoned. Th

I will be staying for three nights in winter.. Is the pool heated? Are local attractions within walking distance
Dear future Guest, The pool is indeed heated. We tend to keep it at about 30C. We are in the middle of 14 acres of woodland so, although you can get to Woodbridge on foot, it is quite a bit of a walk and also involves crossing a dual carriageway... Best to have a car at hand. Kind regards Denis Frucot General Manager

"Room 24 has the corner aspect hence a lot of light and good views."
"All rooms have lovely views."
"We had the two best suites in the hotel in the far back, which the owner saved for us for "our glorious return home!""
"We booked a classic double but were given the joy to be upgraded to the Dairy Cottage presumably as it was quiet but a pleasure thank you!"
"The upgraded rooms are all above the courtyard, single glazing so can be noisy."
