My trip to this hotel was a delight, welcoming, staff very caring and kind, My room was very good. The location was splendid, in the city the shops and people so friendly, shops well stocked. New manager who it seemed is making some impact judging by some of the staff . So that was encouraging, I enjoyed a restful few...

A great Hotel in the centre of Newmarket, staff friendly and extremely efficient. I was unfortunately ill in my room, the housekeeping team of 5 descended and cleaned everything up. The hotel is huge and expect to do a lot of stairs, but it adds to the character of the place. My room was newly renovated and can be described...

Bathroom a few hairs around bath. Side lights didn't work. Rather over priced. Breakfast ok. Food and drink is expensive. Get cheaper across the road. It was OK. The walls could do with sound proofing. I could here people in the next room.

My husband and I stayed at this quaint hotel last weekend. We were only expecting a place to put our heads for a couple of nights while visiting family but were pleasantly surprised to find a beautiful old inn where the staff goes the extra mile! My only suggestion to make the stay easier is to put a lift in...

We had a great stay, lovely old coach house oozing character, staff so friendly and helpful, rooms spotless and beds/linen A1, so comfortable, steak beautiful and breakfast 1st class, will...

Just visited Newmarket, Rutland Arms is 17th century coaching inn on the high street. It's quirky, a bit dated in parts, may not be perfect but I like it. Sharon on reception & Mark gave us great service. Only thing are noisy pub neighbours opposite who play loud music till late, but rooms at the back of the hotel are...

The bar serving teas, lunch etc seemed to have gone downhill yet again. It had improved but alas it's got even worse. The kitchen staff preparing food do not seem to know what's actually on the menu. This is due to bad management. The waiting staff can't do enough and seemed very embarrassed when food had to be taken back...

A Sunday lunch for fifty people is never an easy service to cater for but The Rutland Arms made Newmarket Lions 41st Charter Anniversary a memorable occasion and did us proud. The service was first class and all staff were attentive and very tasty food served quickly and piping hot. We had the use of the ballroom upstairs as too...

Oh dear. Comparison can be odious & this certainly didn't compare favourably to any previous Afternoon Tea experience. Extra disappointing as it was to celebrate a friend's special birthday. A party of 16, we were seated in a very pleasant area. The pots of tea & coffee arrived. The lid of our coffee pot was decidedly dusty. The plate of...
