Come here twice a year to attend the races and have never been disappointed, rooms are great and the breakfast is fantastic and the evening meals are of great value. Special praise to the staff who are always welcoming and cheery. If you are visiting Newmarket this is the place to stay.
Lovely clean room, good shower and excellent bed. Parking was opposite the hotel, rather than next to to, but only a matter of a couple of hundred metres. Really good value when all you want is a clean and comfortable room and a good night's sleep.
We were attending a local event so just required an overnight stay. Hotel staff were friendly and efficient, room clean and adequate, Breakfast excellent (At extra cost to stay £9.50 for full English). Car park just over road so close, but only 28 spaces allocated to hotel after that you have to pay on one of the other levels. It is free overnight from 4pm but said charged from 9am. We fortunately managed to get an allocated space our friends did not. The hotel in situated at traffic lights so there was traffic noise, but it didn't cause us a problem sleeping (we were on 3rd floor). Ideally placed for walking around Newmarket. Would have given it full marks but during booking I managed to book the wrong date, a week eariler. When I realised I rang and they were happy to change to the following week (neither were peak weeks) BUT charged me another £21 on top of the £95 I had already paid in full up front and this rather soured the experience. Breakfast is charged on top of this so it became a rather expensive nights stay.…
Had no problem parking on Level 2 in the nearby car park, and there were plenty of spaces, maybe a different story at weekends etc, but on a Monday evening was perfect, I didn’t eat an evening meal in the hotel, but had breakfast which was fine. Friendly staff, and not buffet, it was cooked to order. There was only two customers in for breakfast so it was very quiet! Nice clean room - you know what you’re getting with Premier Inn which is what I like …. I would reiterate a previous review as my view was of air conditioning units and scaffolding directly outside my window, so kept the curtains shut the entire stay - if the hotel is quiet, which I really believe it was during my stay, why don’t they give customers the nicer view rooms as a priority? The hotel is directly opposite a Waitrose which was handy for a sandwich for my dinner as didn’t fancy a full meal. This is a premier inn I would definitely use again when in the area.…
Enjoyable stay at Premier Inn Newmarket. Good restaurant, friendly staff, handy lift as there are 3 floors. Unfortunately we got a back facing room with aircon units and scaffolding outside the window!!! Inter joining wooden door with a screaming kid the other side!! Bathroom could have done with a better clean and we reported to reception and they refunded one of our breakfast costs which was very nice of them. It’s a shame as it knocked a star off our report.
