We stayed here for 1 night. There was no restaurant ooen but the bar was. We had to drive quite along way to get sonething to eat. Our room had originally been a single but then changed to a double and was tiny. Breakfast was horrible. Don't get scrambled eggs they were raw and everybody complained.

we found this hotel off the beaten track! We were surprised the hotel was empty for the weekend. Its a little shabby, but has charm, character and stunning gardens and in a tranquil location. I would urge the owners to do up the hotel as its a gem! The staff were polite, attentive and the food was good and inexpensive.

Room was tiny bathroom even smaller. No phone service unless you hung out of the window. Breakfast was ok apart from the eggs. Apparently if you want normal scrambled eggs you have to ask for 'well done' if not you could suck them thru a needle. The couple behind us commented that they had learnt to ask for well done...

Lovely quaint hotel. I've stayed in a few "country house hotels" for business, and very few have actually catered for guests in any way other than just giving them a bed for the night. This little hotel is a hidden gem. It's not 4 star but the food and the fact the hotel is so nice inside it does deserve...

It's about five miles away from the centre of town, but it's an interesting big country house. We were shown to our room which was some kind of attic room, accessible from the outside of the house via a steep metal stairway...... not the best start! The room was clean, but tiny, and the bed had a cheap hard mattress....

Firstly, thanks to the receptionist for waiting for me up until 12:30 am after arriving late due to traffic jam. That's only positive I have really, bed was comfy too. After I arrived from my 4 hour journey, I checked in and received my key. The gardens up to the cabins are nice enough. As soon as I opened my...

lovely warm hotel. Smashing big room on top floor. Massive tv and sofa to view tv from. Strong wifi in all parts of hotel. Easy parking. Breakfast delivered to order rather than select buffet style so all fresh. Very friendly staff. Great location. Easy to find even in dark, Clear signs to get there. No complaints at all. Really enjoyed...

We stayed at the Grange Country House just before Christmas while on our way to a shoot in Suffolk. We arrived late and with our dog and the staff was just locking up, but they welcomed us and made sure we were settled in before departing. The room was spacious and what you would expect from an older building. The...

Visited the hotel for an Xmas work do. Awful, stroppy service from the receptionist because we paid the balance of our bill on the night. The manager refused to get a jug of water for one of my heavily pregnant colleagues, instead stating he was too busy! Disco was not the best and too loud making it difficult for the...

Yes it needs tlc. Yes it probably needs a fair bit of money spent on upgrading it. However, the room was clean, equipped with TV, drinks making gear including biscuits, the bed was a good size (albeit two single mattresses fixed together) and apart from a bit of black grouting, the bathroom was fine. Breakfast was entirely satisfactory. Unfortunately there...
