We choose this hotel having read about it's comfortable lounges and fires. On arrival to our room facing the sea we noticed how very cold it was. There was a wall heater but no instructions whatsoever, we called for assistance and the hotel maintenance man came to explain how it worked. The television only gave us 'radio', the maintenance man...

Thank you for reviewing your recent stay with us and for the constructive comments you posted as to how we could improve the services we offer. We will review our guests service directory with the intention of advising guests how to work the heating in the bedroom. Thank you for the idea. The TV in the room was working prior...

great hotel. great food. nice service. the car park is tight but spaces are available on the sea front my room was a single and was a touch small, but adequate. the car park had spaces for around 20 cars and is located to the rear. the carpark is very tight, though, so a 4x4 might not fit. breakfast was...

We love your description of the hotel in that it oozes class. It is very kind of you. This is something that we try to achieve without being too pretentious about it. I was glad to read that the team dealt with your request to your satisfaction. We do always try to help when we can and am glad that...

We stayed at the Wentworth, as part of a reunion weekend, re-kindling memories of my husband's youth. The hotel couldn't have been more helpful in meeting the needs of the entire party. We booked one of the superior rooms. The lounge part was a little faded, but in the end we had hardly any time to sit in it! The...

I can't understand the negative reviews. We've just had a couple of days at the Wentworth and I cannot find one fault. The room was very comfortable, the food (dinner and breakfast) was excellent and the staff friendly and efficient. Plenty of lounges to hide away in and relax with a book or paper and no annoying music. This is...

We went to the Wentworth in celebration of our 30 Years wedding anniversary, i booked it as a surprise for my wife and we went for 1 night in September. I had left a note on the booking form that I was to be contacted by email as it was a surprise, for our 30th only to find an hour...

Thank you for posting a review of your stay with us last September. I was very sorry to learn that you found the hotel to be a soulless place with no ideas about hospitality. From countless other reviews, I understood this was one of our strengths, but clearly we must have fallen short of our normal standards with you, for...

The hotel is easy to find overlooking the sea. Plenty of parking at the rear of the hotel, which can overspill onto the road. Single room was quite tight on space and very hot. Difficult to turn off the bathroom radiator. Wifi good. Lots of stairs.

Thank you for your review following your recent stay with us. I am sorry that the room was too hot for you and that you found it small. Due to the style and type of building, our rooms vary in size and layout throughout the hotel. The heating is individually controlled for each room, but the heating for the bathroom...

Great cream tea at the Wentworth today . There were 31 of us for tea as a colleague was retiring and the Wentworth really did us proud . Crustless sandwiches of ham , cucumber and egg , delicious and elegant . Plenty of scones with individual pots of strawberry jam and sumptuous cakes . Service was as personal as if...

Having spent weekends successively at the Wentworth and in Belgium I was impressed by the superiority of the former: excellent breakfasts individually cooked and hot; well presented and cooked dinners at prices well-below the continental ones: £17 for dinner on Sunday; £27 but still good value on Monday. The thoughtful touches included the lack of any plastic foiled covered containers...

It has been 45 years since I last stayed at the Wentworth! We had a fantastic weekend and the staff could not have been more helpful. Super room overlooking the sea. Food was excellent. Lots of space to sit around and chat with friends. An excellent venue for a reunion such as this.

What a pleasant and well turned out hotel, full of understated style, elegance and service that is as it should be.....just happens nicely, quietly, without effort.
