Great location, fantastic hotel, restaurant, bar and coffee shop everything you need in one location. Friendly, clean, warm and excellent food. Large bedrooms and great bathrooms. Really nice staff and great bar across the road from the same chain.

We stayed here again during a family reunion. The last time was three years ago and once again we could not fault the accommodation and service. The only problem was a car alarm going off in the middle of the night but there was nothing the staff could do about that as it seemed to be coming from somewhere in...

The staff couldn't have been more helpful. The breakfast was fantastic. I loved the coffee shop and staff. The location is good and bad; good because you're in the centre of the town. Bad because you can hear the church bells ringing and that's an issue if you want a sleep. The most disappointing part of the stay was the...

The hotel is nice, but I had some trouble finding the parking though. Had to take a couple of rounds in the city to find the right place to turn. I would like to visit in the summer time also, look very nice for better weather.

My boyfriend and I have just returned from an overnight stay. The room we stayed in was massive and absolutely immaculately clean. The bathroom was a good size too. However I found the bed was too hard for my liking and so sleep was not the most comfortable experience I have had. Unfortunately what disappointed me the most was the...

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at The Swan Hotel. I am pleased to read that overall you enjoyed your stay apart from the hardness of the bed. Your comments have been passed on to the Housekeeping team. Regarding your breakfast experience, please accept my apologies for the shortfall in the standards of food and...

Negatives: Room 303 very draughty, in need of re-fit and better insulated windows and window frames which were riddled with damp and brittle. £120 for this room, not worth half of this price tag I'm afraid. Bar staff service at night abrupt and rude. Positives: The waiting staff were extremely pleasant and courteous and breakfast was good. Word to the...

Thank you for you review of your recent stay at the Swan Hotel. I have noted your comments regarding Room 303 and apologise for the condition of the windows. We continually update all of our bedrooms as part of our ongoing refurbishment programme but this obviously takes time and some rooms have yet to be completed. I have noted your...

This was a treat on the works for 25 years of service. A group of 7 of us for an evening meal and drinks and an overnight Bed and breakfast for me and hubby in a standard double room. With a welcoming reception on arrival , and all the staff we met being so friendly and efficient , it make...

Didn't sleep very well due to noise, think it was early street cleaners dustbin men and doors on corridor opening and closing very early morning. Also all of sockets blew in the morning, asked reception to fix while we had breakfast but this didn't happen so could not dry my hair or use any sockets. Shame as was a nice...

I had to spend one night in Stafford on business. The hotel is in a pedestrian area on the high street. All the shops and restaurants are close and there is free parking. My satnav had a little problem finding the parking lot but some friendly locals helped. Staff is friendly, wifi is free of charge and works well, there...

Great bar and chill out areas, fantastic food and drinks selection, to include some well conditioned real ales on cask tap. Comfortable bed and a great nights sleep, amazing cooked breakfast in the morning wash down with a...
