We had 1 night at Chindit House whilst our daughter was at a local music course and can only reiterate what others have said. Peter was a lovely host, very friendly and helpful, he cooked a wonderful breakfast, the house was lovely, full of artwork, African and Peter's own pieces, and it was the best bed ever, my next mattress...

The most lavish, welcoming & restful B&B I have had the pleasure to stay in. We stayed in the beautifully appointed twin suite; each room with its own beautiful iron bedstead, fluffy pillows & crisp white linen; fabulous rugs on the floor & individual artwork. It was an unexpected bonus to be given fresh fruit, chocolates & real milk to...

Chindit House is a beautiful, traditional house, well-screened from the road by tall hedging and set in a large garden. The interior is uniquely ornamented with many African pictures and interesting pieces of statuary. We were welcomed warmly with a tray of tea in the garden and fruit and chocs in our room. The latter was very spacious, attractively furnished...

The first time we stayed in Chindit House, turned to be a wonderful experience, we longed long after we left. We returned to Glastonbury and one of the reasons was to sleep in the fabulous beds of Chindit House, to pamper our senses with the flowers everywere, and to enjoy the fabulous breakfast, with excellent quality of cheeses, hams, salmon...

A fine place to stay: an eclectic mix of artefacts added to the period feel of this "hidden" mansion. Perhaps it should be mentioned, on the web page, that there are two dogs and a cat: not that they were allowed to intrude for an instant; but there are some people who do not enjoy pets. However, this is an...

In Glastonbury we were directed to this beautiful accommodation near the centre and we have really enjoyed this exceptional B&B. It has an abundance of a warm welcome by Felicity and Peter; a high standard, spacious room with first-class beds, remarkable details like fresh fruit, chocolate, flowers etc.; tasteful organic breakfast and elegant decoration. The Chindit House has an open...

Chindit House is without doubt one of the best B&Bs I've ever stayed in. On arrival I was greeted by the owner Peter (and Boris the cat) and treated to tea and biscuits on the terrace. He showed me some good local walks on a map, and was (and remained throughout my stay) incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were...

The best bed and breakfast I ever stayed and by far better than many hotels of 4 even 5 star. Huge rooms with lovely floral and home style decoration . A touch of class everywhere from the fresh flowers all over the place to the complimentary fresh fruits in the room. And the best bed you could imagine. It is...

We booked a last minute honeymoon for a couple of days and we were really blessed to have found Chindit House. We arrived and was welcomed by Peter with tea in his beautiful large garden, a real oasis that is right in the centre of Glastonbury. He could not do enough for us and he made us feel special throughout...

Chindit House, once a boarding house for Millfield School, may be pricey in terms of Glastonbury prices but it is well worth every penny. It's a beautiful period house with spacious, light rooms, tastefully decorated and extremely comfortable, positioned within Glastonbury, but with a countryside calm. My husband and I arrived on a foul, wet Saturday but our mood lifted...
