We was greeted with a smile and help with luggage into the accommodation, also given a big pot of tea too to have in the spacious longe. The `Rose Room` was really big and more than enough room for us. The bed was very comfortable and had a great nights sleep. In the room was a list of the breakfast menu...

From the warm welcome to the final farewell nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were very comfortable, the breakfasts were brilliant and plentiful. Nick and Melinda make you feel that their home is your home away from home. It is also a great base for the surrounding area.

We booked the family suite for myself, wife and adult son for a four night stay. We had three lovely bedrooms plus a massive bathroom. Despite the unseasonally cold weather the central heating kept us nice and warm. Breakfasts were delicious with a good choice. Nick & Melinda were friendly and attentive hosts. We would certainly consider staying there again...

Nick and Melinda made us feel so warmly welcomed and nothing was too much trouble. The room was just right; the invitation to treat the lounge as our own was genuine and the breakfast was superb. Lovely people, lovely dogs and lovely stay!

This was our 3rd trip to Townsend, this time specifically to visit snowdrop valley not far from Wheddon Cross. It was lovely to be welcomed by Nick again and to have our luggage whisked up to our usual Rose room, followed by a refreshing pot of tea in the lounge and a catch up chat. We wouldn't usually holiday in...

I am so pleased that I found the gem which is Townsend Farmhouse. I had read the reviews and it certainly lived up to it's reputation. I had a very attractive room, styled for the age of the farmhouse and very comfortable and warm. Nick and Melinda are so friendly and helpful and it was great to meet their two...

Devon has so much to offer. We have travelled the UK quite a bit but it’s amazing how easy it is to find an area where you suddenly ask yourself, “Why on earth haven’t we been here before!” Townsend Farmhouse is situated in the village of Carhampton, a stones throw from the medieval village of Dunster. It’s an easy drive...
