6 years ago we visited the Old Priory. We'd since stayed in countless great places across Britain and Europe since, but memories of the wonderful Jane her very special corner of England had never faded, so we decided to return at risk of spoiling those happy memories. Could it be as good the second time around? To any travellers from...

Stayed for a weekend break and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Great breakfast - must particularly recommend the sausages. Charming, large bedroom within this real piece of history in the centre of Dunster. Highly recommended.

We've been back so many times: Jane is fantastic and so interesting about the area. It's a lovely ancient Priory with books in every bedroom and the fires in winter keep it warm. Conversations flow around the old refectory table at breakfast (we've always met fascinating people staying as guests); the dogs are so friendly; the food is delicious and...

This is the second time I've stayed at Old Priory. The rooms are beautiful, filled with hand picked antiques and fresh flowers from the exquisite garden. Delicious breakfast with all local produce including divine bacon and hot scones. Apart from being one of the most beautiful houses I've ever been in, I find it's the service that really sets it...

Have just returned from a four night stay in Old Priory Cottage (attached to the B&B). It could not have been more cosy and charming. Jane made us feel very welcome and well looked after. Lashings of hot water and logs for the fire. Friendly dogs and a delightful country feel. An excellent base for our lovely stay in Dunster....

We stayed here for a special treat and it really was. The property is quite wonderful filled with beautiful antique furniture, soft furnishings and items obviously chosen and displayed with love and care by the owner Jane. We felt she was a friend and that is how she treated us. Such well-behaved dogs, lots of books and gorgeous breakfast. Real...

The owner is very friendly, helpful and looks after your every whim. The building is like a theatre set and the master bedroom steeped in history as is the whole building. The 4 poster bed was luxurious and we slept like 2 logs. Breakfast was very good. A great antidote to the sterility of budget chains like Travelodge.

The Old Priory has a tremendous amount of history. Look at the name for a start. The B&B is one of THE best we have stayed at. Comfortable rooms, one even with a four poster bed. Lots of hot water! A decent breakfast that sets you up for the day, with a choice of cereals, fruit & yogurt and for...

11th of of 12 B&Bs in Dunster? Ridiculous. The Old Priory is absolutely perfect. The room was fantastic, the bed supremely comfortable and the breakfasts some of the best I've ever had (thick slices of bacon, properly cooked mushrooms and eggs freshly delivered each morning). If you're offended by dogs slumbering on the chairs next to the fireplace or prefer...
