I used the Inns pub facility as it was a quick stop for a drink, really wish I could have stayed for a meal, the food looked amazing! Very friendly staff. Very tastefully decorated as a country Inn and local cider was delicious. I will make a return trip very soon and stay for a meal, would be daft not...

My friend and I stayed here on New Year's Eve and were actually booked to go to a 'do' at Dunster Castle Hotel, we stayed an hour as it was so awful and ended up back at the Stags Head where there was a great atmosphere and all the staff were so friendly. The girls cooking in the kitchen had...

As a pub I would give the Stags Head 5/5. It's cosy and welcoming to non- locals (not always the case in this part of the country! ) without exception the staff are friendly and helpful and both the food and service in the restaurant is excellent. We stayed for two nights and ate in the bar both nights as...

I can honestly say that the food we had last night was the best meal I have had of 2016, that is not a statement I make lightly. The meat was delicious, but something hard to find these days, is how well they served the seasonal Veg. My partner and I both had the Sirloin and would thoroughly recommend! Average...

We have just spent 1 night at The Stags Head and my only regret is that we didn't stay for 2 nights. We were welcomed by a lovely lady in the morning who kindly took our bag as we had arrived early. We were given our key and were shown to our room as we wouldn't be returning until late...

Excellent location for Castle, shops and exploring the beautiful historic village of Dunster. The pub is quaint and cosy and the service friendly cheerful and efficient. Good size tasty lunch, I had the beef and stilton pie & my husband had the fish pie. Taxi into Minehead was arranged for us to meet friends (10 minute drive £12.... quite expensive...

We stayed here for 4 nights with our 2 jack Russell's and had a wonderful time. The pub is lovely and the rooms really comfortable and welcoming. Food is excellent and the service is first rate. It is very obvious that the owners and staff really care about what they are doing and so do it very well indeed. We...

Stopped off for a drink as we noticed there was a beer garden and it was a warm day. After ordering drinks from the bar we made our way out to the back to find a small thin strip of land with a steep path and steps. Not ideal for those with walking difficulties.

As a B&B over a pub you do not expect too much but unfortunately the Stags Head did not deliver. Our room was a twin or double in that it had two single beds which the staff said we could push together if we wanted. As we couldn't find if they locked together we decided to avoid the inevitable tumble...
