What an amazing place to stay. Everything about this establishment is first class. Beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and fantastic breakfast on offer. The advantage is that the city centre is only 10 mins walk away - which is ideal. We stayed in the room with the slipper bath which was amazing. Would recommend 139 and will be back for sure....

Thank you for taking the time to write a review and we are thrilled that you enjoyed your stay with us and found our location to be ideal. Room 6 is a very popular choice with our guests as they can relax in the classic slipper bath whilst watching TV or a film. We hope to see you again very...

It was my partner and my first visit to Bath. We have never stayed in a guest house before as we always stay in a hotel. We received a very warm welcome on our arrival. The guest house was about a ten minute walk from the city centre. The room was decorated beautifully and the bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast...

From the moment we stepped through the door to the time we left we were made to feel we were valued guests. This can only be described as a five star establishment with service and products to match! The establishment, in my view, can best be described as a small boutique hotel. Slept well in a king sized comfortable bed,...

Great place in Bath, ideally located, clean, modern with great service. The rooms were fantastic with comfortable beds, tea/coffee making facilities and reasonable speed wifi. On-site parking available. The shining light of this establishment was it's breakfast service with vibrant staff serving great cooked food. Slight uphill journey from the centre of Bath to here but not too arduous. Highly...

Great hospitality, great breakfast, lovely room. 10 minute walk into town the only problem is walking back is uphill so we cheated and got a taxi. Would recommend to anyone adults wanting a nice, relaxing weekend away where nothing is too much trouble for the hosts.

This Bed and Breakfast is really a 5 star hotel in disguise. In reality its even better, because the personal touches apparent upon arrival, right through to a friendly and unhurried chat at check out couldn't be repeated in a large establishment. Happily, 139 Bath is a fine example of English hospitality, crowned by caring hosts (Eliza and James) who...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Spoil yourselves at Leighton Townhouse. We are just a 10 minute walk from the city centre, in a peaceful 140-year old Victorian villa, set in lovely gardens, with great views away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre and offering complimentary on-site car parking. Formerly known as One Three Nine, we have recently refurbished and refreshed all our bedrooms and guest areas to provide 10 individually designed and beautifully decorated guest rooms, all of which have air conditioning, as well as beautiful bathrooms with underfloor heating, power showers and many with spa baths. Leighton Townhouse has been fully restyled to reflect the age and character of the property. Using a harmonious palate of soft neutrals and flashes of brighter accent colours, our Townhouse has a warm, relaxing ambiance with each room completely unique in character. By blending our signature style of classical French chic with contemporary modern elements, we are able to offer our guests an extremely comfortable stay and a truly bespoke experience' Take in the sights of our remarkable city, have a lingering lunch, soak in the bubbling hot waters at the Thermae Bath Spa, book an evening show at the beautiful Bath Theatre Royal. Dine out, hit the shops or just lounge like a local - our townhouse has everything you will need for a perfect stay. The views are amazing and the possibilities are endless. Leighton Townhouse offers all the 'mod cons' you would expect from a luxury B&B Townhouse as well as beautiful, comfortable décor. Our guiding principle is to offer exceptional personal service and accommodation to make our guests feel they are 'home from home' but with a bit of 'wow' factor to make their stay in Bath one to remember. We believe that there are a few prerequisites that a luxury B&B townhouse must have - relaxing décor, very comfortable beds, immaculate bathrooms, fresh, crisp, quality linens, fluffy towels, robes & slippers, welcoming and comfortable guest areas, fresh flowers, good lighting as well as a hearty breakfast with plenty of choice and Bucks Fizz to kick start your day. Whether you just want a few romantic days away 'a deux', a break on the way to the South West, or a 'girlie' get away, Leighton Townhouse will tick all the right boxes. ... more   less
