We had a front room one flight up, cozy and comfortable with a pleasing leafy view. The breakfast was good quality and offered a variety of choices in a beautiful dining room. It was walking distance from the center of town with lovely views and charming old homes en route. Parking was easy.

This was a really great place to stay, great variety in the breakfast menu, really helpful staff. It is a bit of a walk to the town centre, but the views from the bathroom made up for it.We had room for 4people and there were only 3of us so I think it would be tight with an extra person but otherwise a great place...

I found the bed and breakfast to be out of the way. It is located on the opposite side of the river valley from the main area of Bath. Getting to Astor House involves a 10-15 minute walk up a steep hill. Obviously, if you have a car, this is not an issue. For the cost I found the room...

The Astor House was a very nice place to stay in Bath, even without a car. It is out of town, about a 15 minute walk, and very quiet. The room was very comfortable, with a large modern bathroom. We had a nice view over the garden. Breakfasts were generous and tasty; ask for the house-made crumpets! There is a...

This was an unusual stay for us. Unusual because my wife thought she was booking Apsley House in Bath where we stayed a few years ago and which was an absolutely 5 star stay (highly recommend this!). 'Never mind' we thought when we saw the house 'looks nice enough'. And it was, except and I have to agree with pammyjeanNewZealand's...

Interesting to read other reviews on Astor House with similar experiences to our own as far as the customer service went. It was really hard to say who the hosts of this place actually were. When my partner and I arrived there wasn't anyone in and there was a key left out and instructions stuck to the door. We had...

Astor House is a lovely place to stay, with a very welcoming host, great breakfast and gorgeous garden. The room was very comfortable with everything we needed, though it was a bit cramped with four beds and several chairs. I think a bit less furniture would be better. Our room fob had a Bath visitors pass which gave us a...

My daughter and I stayed at Astor House for a couple of nights in August. We were greeted as we arrived and shown to our twin room on the first floor. The room was clean, beautifully decorated and had a fabulous view of the garden. Excellent bathroom. We enjoyed the fact that we could leave the car, walk into Bath...

A really lovely place to stay, we arrived early but could luckily check-in. We were given a map of Bath and told what they best things to do were. The room was lovely, a huge bed, lovely and clean en-suite bathroom with a great view of the garden. Breakfasts were delicious with a large selection and great coffee. We were...

This works well: you come BACK to the B&B panting and sweaty having climbed the hill on the south side of the city, while cruising downhil dry and relaxedl into town earlier on. It's in a swanky neighbourhood, and the building itself is one of those desired Portland stone villas, it's the perfect place to live if you're a banker...
