Our one night stay at Apsley house couldn't have been more relaxing, we checked in late (10pm) after being at dinner and elsewhere and this was no problem for staff who were waiting to greet us and got us settled quickly. The bed was huge and incredibly comfortable, one of the best nights sleep in a while. The room and...

We have recently returned from 3 nights at Apsley House Hotel in Bath.We were greeted by Kate one of the friendly receptionists who showed us our room.We were in Room 1 the room called Wellington. It is a large airy room overlooking the pretty garden at rear of the house. It has a very large and comfy bed draped with...

Me and my partner stayed here the past couple of nights and a 5 star rate doesn't do it justice. Not only are the rooms so uniquely and beautifully designed but they are spotlessly clean (I am very fussy with cleanliness!). The staff couldn't be more accommodating and are very friendly and bubbly. Breakfast in the dining room was delicious...

We enjoyed our 3-night stay in Bath immensely and were delighted with the Apsley House Hotel, the friendly and helpful staff, the lovely character of the house, the pretty garden, the welcoming lounge with its big fire on a February evening, our charming room, the view from our window, the very comfortable bed, the cleanliness, the peacefulness, the delicious breakfasts,...

Spent weekend here in February. Excellent room at top of house, quiet and with great bathroom. Brilliant breakfast and helpful staff keen to please. As another reviewer has written, if anyone wants to learn how to run a business like this, come here. It's not in the middle of Bath, but having witnessed the traffic chaos/one way system, that is...

Having recently celebrated our anniversary in Bath, whilst staying at Aplsey house in the "Beau" room, I can't recommend it highly enough. The room was beautiful, cosy and thoughtfully equipped - massively benefiting from its own private entrance, it was an idyllic stay. Staff are lovely, nothing is too much trouble and the breakfasts were second to none! Go visit,...

I stayed with my husband for a two night mini break and we could not have been made more welcome. Our room was very comfortable and the cooked breakfast including the daily specials was delicious. The only slight negative was that it was a 30 min+ walk into Bath rather than the 20 mins we were told, however, taxis are...

A very nice place with enough quirk to be interesting. Lovely staff. Not given it the best rating as it is quite far out even for brisk walkers. Also the basement bedroom we had, whilst very nice was dark and airless with a hint of a damp smell.

Apsley House is a fantastic b&b in a beautiful building. The bedrooms are lovely, as is the dining room with roaring fire and honesty bar. The service and staff are fantastic and the breakfast is fabulous with plenty of choice. The only place we would stay in Bath.
