Great accommodations plus an excellent location for exploring Bath. The rooms were quiet and comfortable and the hotel provided an excellent dining room and bar. Being next door to the train station is a significant plus for travelers arriving and departing via Brit Rail.

Wow! What a great place to stay. The was bright and spacious, only slightly marred by the coaches stopping outside. The en-suite again was clean and modern, with thankfully a hot shower rather than a warm drizzle experienced from many other hotels. There is an adjoined restaurant which offers an amazing selection. Would I recommend it? Yes, and I'll be...

I only stayed for one night but was so impressed with the hotel. I had a single room and was expecting some pokey room for a solo guest but no the room was great and even though was opposite the train station it was really quiet at night and I had a great nights sleep in a very comfortable bed,...

Spent 3 nights at this hotel, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Breakfast was buffet style for cold food but cooked to order for hot food, all of good quality. Bar snack at lunchtime was equally good. Would stay here again.

Let's get the worst over first. Dinner at the "restaurant" on the first night We arrived via the lounge bar at 7 pm and asked if there was a table for two. The answer was no. This seemed rather strange as the place was about one third full and there seemed to be plenty of places on the upper level....

I am replying as one of the owners of The Royal Hotel. I was very disappointed and somewhat saddened to read your review of our restaurant at The Royal. Although the duty manger did try to explain that the tables in the restaurant, which you saw empty, were reserved for other residents who were dining a little later, he obviously...

The hotel is very well located in the centre of Bath. The staff go out of their way to help you wherever they can and it comes with parking as long as you email them and ask to book. Reasonable at £8 per day. The room was well sized and clean. Only downside was the room lock was very fiddly...

My friend and I stayed in the Royal Hotel Bath last week. We had two nights there. We had booked a parking space, but it was not available on our arrival as the previous guests had not moved their car. This was quite quickly sorted out by the management, so we were able to park. The hotel was very nice,...

Thank you for your review following your stay with us. Although strictly speaking when using the Taste Card guests are required to book in advance I am disappointed that our duty management, on this occasion, were not more flexible in allowing you to use the Taste Card, particularly as you were hotel guests – my apologies. I was here for a reunion with old friends. A room for three was a great size, the breakfast was enough to keep going until dinner time and the ground coffee and cafetiere in the room was a bonus!! I have just returned from a weekend trip in Bath. I booked this hotel based on it's website and the location (just across from the main train station) - Reception upon arrival was ok, although the receptionist seemed to be rushing to give all the info about breakfast, keys and closing times. - She said there was not a spare...
