Thank you for your post KidlingtonYellow. The Lansdown Grove Hotel does offer a good base to visit both areas within the city and attractions a little further afield. As I have mentioned before, The Royal Crescent, Assembly Rooms and Circus are all within a 10-15 minute walk. Streets such as Lansdown Crescent offer a different view that that of the...

We found this hotel value for money, nice sized room (201). Food varied and good quality. The only comment I would make is that the waiting staff were not allocated tables, and on a couple of occasions we asked couple of waiting staff what our orders were. All the staff were polite and helpful. I read an earlier review criticising...

Stayed here on a Shearing's Christmas Markets trip. The holiday was brilliant value to start with, but then we all received a £25 drinks/food voucher for the hotel as well. It's an old building, and although it might not be the most modern internally, the staff were very nice, the food was good, the room was clean and had everything...

Close to city centre (although up a steep hill so not really walkable except in summer downhill), excellent views, good clean, well appointed interior. loads of rooms, very helpful staff and quick efficient breakfast. Rooms were large and well furnished and plenty of bed linen. Windows are single glazed (probably listed building) but no noise from outside.

Room 325. This was an upgrade facing front of hotel, not worth it. Room is tired, poor TV and very draughrty. Hotel in general is also very drab and needs a refurb. Staff try hard but not exceptional. Meals just about adequate but the cost reflects this. Charging for parking is a rip off, but hotel is nicely placed for...

Thank you for your review Bernilnns. As with all reviews, the content is very much down to the author’s personal view and experience.
