We loved the welcome we received when we arrived. We had a great lunch and then returned again for a great dinner. Simple and good! Friendly service and yummy desserts too! We will definitely be returning on our next visit to Bath. I also liked the central location.

Just got back from 2 nights in this comfortable hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful; it seems that nothing was too much trouble; everything was done with a smile and a cheerful word. The bedroom was clean and the bed comfortable, with a nice shower room. We had a room at the front with a view over Queens Sq,...

Dear Nathan052015 Thank you for takiing the time to submit a Tripadvisor review. I'm delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us. I couldn't agree more, The Francis is the perfect location to explore everything Bath has to offer and the view of Queen Square is lovely. Thank you too for your kind words about the staff. Went for a short break in Bath and stayed at The Francis. Centrally located and handy for all of the major Bath places to see. We had a room at the front overlooking the very pretty square and did not find the traffic noise intrusive at all. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was very good with...

The staff were very friendly and helpful - we will definitely be back next term, when we take out our grandchildren (at Bath University). We could only stay one night unfortunately, but next time we will stay longer! The breakfast was good, and the eggs benedict was the best I have had in a hotel.

The Francis hotel is a historic boutique hotel in the heart of Bath. It is a series of town homes on Queens Square converted to hotel. As with historic hotels the rooms are small but charming with all the necessary appointments. It is conveniently located in Bath center walking distance to everything. Service is pleasant and most helpful. We used...

Delighted with the hotel, it's charming staff and the facilities. The location is perfect and our room was chic and comfortable. In the morning down to breakfast, and oh dear. Poor service poor ingredients in a word dire. Cheap sliced bread, awful bacon and sausage and imitation orange juice. Wetherspoons could teach Monsieur Raymond how it is sourced and how...

We had a good meal, although the vegetarian options were very limited. The main meals lacked vegetables which when paying £17 for a meal I would expect vegetables to be included! The Sunday roast that my son had though was excellent. Service was attentive, unintrusive and friendly. A rather expensive meal for us, but it was a special occasion.

We booked one night on a "Secret Escapes" deal and were very impressed with the hotel from the moment we arrived. It was POURING with rain yet a young man nipped out as we drew up and offered to take our bags and park our car (£15 well spent!) and the cheery reception staff soon got us checked in and...

Very central for everything. Room clean. Not big & bathroom a bit small, but good shower. Quite expensive & parking a bit expensive at £15 per night ! Car is parked for you which is a nice touch. Everything is close by so probably worth the cost. Also has a really nice restaurant

This hotel is situated close to the centre of Bath ,but positioned on a street overlooking a park area, therefore the best of both worlds Hotel and rooms we're excellent, spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated Staff helpful and friendly.
