Fabulous old building with loads of charm but the service is bang up to date. If you need anything from where to go for lunch, shopping or entertainment, advice is on hand. And a brandy nightcap to boot. Brilliant

Thank you for the ‘brilliant’ accolade. As a family run business we rely on a very committed and loyal small team. With Bath as the backdrop our simple intention is to enhance your stay within this tremendous World Heritage City. Delighted that we were able to offer a complimentary night cap...... little beats the crackle of an open fire and...

If you are looking to experience the delights of bath and also want to stay in old world style you can't go wrong with dukes hotel. I spent a lot of time looking for the right style of hotel for a planned weekend break and this hotel ticked all the boxes. The hotel is a 5-10 minute walk from the...

Our reception is open from ‘early ‘til late’ and so a quick call and we will happily help select the option most suitable for your preferences. As you note...

Found Dukes through Trip Advisor for a few days break before Christmas. A very convenient find as the City centre is only a short walk away as is a good selection of bars and restaurants. The hotel is very comfortable with all the amenities you would expect to find in an Edwardian House. The staff were extremely accommodating and could...

Thank you for the good wishes for 2017. Very pleased to read that you found your pre-Christmas break a wholly re-vitalising experience. We take enormous pride in our ‘cooked to order’ breakfast offering. Our award winning ‘black pudding’ is sourced from the Isle of Lewis, lightly smoked salmon from Wye Valley Smokery, smoked back bacon and sausages from Terry and...

I had first stayed at the Dukes Hotel 15 years ago. I remember it being well priced and decent enough, without being overbearing or fussy. I am happy to say, if it still that. It's not a 5 star hotel, but it isn't trying to be. The Rooms are adequate, the food very much above average, and the service was...

Our intention is to offer the very best ‘inclusive’ stay within Bath. When one considers the cost of city centre overnight parking, a waitress service cooked to order breakfast, hot drink trays in the room, fluffy bathrobes, biscuits, nibbles and the occasional complimentary ‘bucks fizz’ - we are in no doubt that we are ‘as you note – reasonably priced’!!...

Beautiful small Roman style town with a lot of sightseeing attractions. Quiet place with calm and very friendly people. The Dukes Hotel is much more than a 3 star hotel. Porter service on arrival, tea and coffee in the room, lovely and very helpful staff. Whilst having breakfast the manager/owner came with a very friendly approach to enquire about everyone's...

A mere 5 minute level stroll from the heart of Bath; our location ensures a quiet night’s sleep away from the disturbance of city revellers. Standing proudly within two Grade 1 listed Georgian townhouses many of our rooms overlook Great Pulteney Street. A ‘street’ that many argue is the finest Georgian boulevard in Europe . Whether by day or night...

From the moment we stepped into Dukes, we were cared for and welcomed, in a non intrusive way. There were a million kind and generous things, like a temp. parking permit, fresh Madlines for breakfast, a friendly 'goodnight', a small morning chat at the breakfast tabel, a few chocolates in a bag for our journey homewards. The building is an...

When my wife and I arrived, the first thing we were told was that we would be getting a free room upgrade to the Wellington as it would be her birthday the following day. Goodness me, thank you…….your review reads like a shopping list of ‘give aways’ and ‘freebies’…..not our intention at all !! Our intention is for guests to feel they are in the country home of an old familiar friend.
