We visited the Griffin by chance and loved the atmosphere the minute we walked in, it felt warm and friendly. This was reinforced in the service as the staff including Kate and Nick could not have been nicer. Decided to book for Sunday lunch the food was delicious, fresh and well presented. The Sunday roast came with all the trimming....

I stayed here for one night in late September. The rooms are above a pub but are quiet as the pub closes at a reasonable hour. The rooms are very small but do the job if you are just looking for a place to sleep. My bathroom was across the hall but was private and a good size. The bed...

I went on to this establishment based on the promise of haloumi stuffed Moroccan Chicken, but I was disappointed to discover that the 'spices/sauces' were lacking in anything reflective of North Africa and were incredibly sweet. I'd hate to think that the sauces came from a jar, but the distinctive flavour part from sweet was vinegar/soy sauce. Not something I...

We stayed two nights at the Griffin. Friendly staff helped us get settled. Rooms were fine, small but very comfy. Location was great - a few minutes walk from all the sights in Bath. It wasn't a cheap place but I think nothing is in Bath. A word of caution- the staircases are steep, winding, and plentiful. If you have...

Lovely old pub in the centre of Bath. Friendly staff, good, clean and comfortable rooms. Great breakfast. The cask beers are well worth sampling. Local bar with welcoming regulars. Couldn't have asked for anything more.

We called in here for a drink before going on to BathEscape as part of a birthday celebration. Good range of beers and wine. Friendly helpful people behind the bar. Very comfortable feel to the place. So good we stayed for a second drink. Found by chance but will be back.

Stopped in for lunch yesterday having previously only been in for evening drinks before on the way to shows at the Ustinov Studio. Love this pub. Genuinely friendly staff that deliver real service. Good selection of real ales. The food was delicious. I had mackerel on warm potato salad with pickled cucumbers and other half had ham, egg and chips....

Excellent location, really friendly staff and a really good atmosphere in the pub. We've visited a few times and really enjoyed drinks here so this summer decided to stay the night. It's such a good location for a night out in Bath, right in the city centre. The building itself is an old inn and the rooms are indeed a...

A friendly local pub and restaurant. The staff (both on and off duty) as well as the local clientele were very welcoming and helpful. Travel tips, local event information AND assistance finding accommodation on a booked out weekend during a rainy University Graduation weekend festivities. All were fantastic! Above and beyond! Local networking saved the day, night rather! Thank you...
