I stayed at this hotel with three friends for two nights over New Year, Simply furnished, comfy & clean room with good facilities, although there was some annoying noise from a pump or fan. Good English breakfast. Reception and breakfast staff were friendly. Only issue was the bar which didn't stay open late, but there was a night porter available....

When planning a two night break in Shrewsbury, we considered the Premier Inn at £59 per night but when you added in the cost of of breakfast and parking, the Abbots Mead Hotel was a better deal with the advantage of a much better location and the friendly service of a privately owned hotel. Rooms are small but very comfortable...

My husband and I were attending a party in Shrewsbury. We chose this hotel due to its location. It has parking for 10 cars. Situated in town with a 5 min walk into town. Also by the river too. Not a hotel for great views, but in perfect close proximity to the town centre. The double bedroom was small but...

This is a in a nice location, quiet, short walk into the centre, very close to the river walk for your early morning walk before a good English breakfast. All the staff we met were very friendly and helpful.

The staff at Abbott are very helpful. I spend one night there before returning to my country, and I must say that the accommodation was very cosy. The breakfast was good, and to the stipulated time that I was told it would be served. The bed was very comfortable and although that it very cold in the UK at the...

A nice little town centre hotel. It's family run and made to feel very welcome. It's not a 5 star but perfectly acceptable and close to the town centre. The room I had was number 5 at the top of the stairs overlooking the car park. It was nice and bright despite being a dull February day.

Stopped over for one night. Good car parking. Lovely owners. Cute clean room. Nice family run feeling through out the hotel. Some parts could do with a re decoration but nothing of big concern. Good location for shops and bars. Tasty breakfast and well catered for (had veggie sausages)

Visited Shrewsbury for a family event and chose this hotel due to its close proximity to the venue and it being in the town centre. The double room was a good size with a decent en-suite. The mattress was slightly harder than I would go for it but didn't prevent me having a decent sleep on both nights. Despite it...
