We stayed at Windy Mundy farm on the PItchford Estate for three days over New Year and had an absolutely fantastic time. The barn has been beautifully converted and decorated with a dramatic, high-ceilinged main living and dining room and enough comfortable bedrooms to accommodate our group of 12 friends. There were some keen amateur chefs in our group and...

Visited windy mundy farm for a weekend for my hen party! Was so pleasantly surprised! Has had an update since the traveller pictures. Plenty of space and great facilities. Two negatives were lots of flies around and the bedroom over the living room had rat droppings in! Fire is cosy but makes everywhere VERY smokey! Would visit again

Delighted you liked the enhancements we've made to the farm in 2016. Thank you and look forward to your next visit.

We had a lovely week (16th to 23rd July). Probably the hottest week of the year. Our family party filled the house comfortably. The younger folk loved the space to run around. The house and location are stunning with fabulous views. The kitchen was plenty big and very well stocked. The social spaces/communal areas all worked well for us. We...

Thank you for your kind comments and delighted you enjoyed the Shropshire sun. We look forward to your returning. You are right - we have some kestrels that nest near the farm each year and RAF Shawbury sometimes land on the Estate to train their helicopter pilots.

The barn is high spec with wonderful views from every room and it is nice that the two bedrooms are at opposite ends of the barn if sharing and both en-suite. Couldn't fault the accommodation but when reviewing and booking via English Country Cottages, in no way is the extent of the rural and isolated location truly conveyed. Access to...

Thanks for your kind comments about the views and the bedrooms. I think you stayed at Tree House Barn from your description of the property. Access is by a farm track which is definitely accessible by a normal car but because it can be rough in places we advise taking it slowly.

We stayed at Stockbatch Granary for my husbands 30th. Couldn't have been more impressed, a stunning home which is fully equipped including a private games room. The house has been thought about from every aspect including catering, accommodation, relaxation and fun. You couldn't ask for more - not to mention the beautiful surroundings and culture of Shrewsbury! Can't wait to...

I'm so pleased you had such a good time on the Estate and that you particularly enjoyed the games room and the cultural offerings of Shrewsbury. We very much hope you'll come again and do visit Ludow too - one of the most beautiful market towns in Great Britain.

We were looking for a dog friendly property which would accommodate 12 people including some twin beds for children. We were impressed from the very beginning the property has plenty of space for everyone to meet together or alternatively have some quiet time apart. It worked perfectly. Everyone was impressed with the standard of the accommodation and how well it...

I'm so pleased you had a memorable Family Christmas and that Rupert and Kim looked after you so well. Thanks also for your kind comments about an "excellent property". We very much hope we can tempt you back to the Estate again soon.

We assembled here for my 60th Birthday bash. 16 of us so a full house. It was fantastic. Everyone was wowed with the main room. The location is lovely and no neighbours, so you can make as much noise as you like--and we are a noisy lot. The farmhouse style kitchen was great to sit around in, and cooking breaky...

Windy Mundy Farm's threshing barn certainly has the 'wow' factor and we would be delighted to host you again on the Estate. So glad that you had a good walk and hopefully admired the stunning Shropshire Hill country and the world's oldest tree house near Pitchford Hall.

Organised a uni reunion of 11 of us. The Herefordshire / Shropshire area works in terms of geography so we are working our way round the bigger properties in the area. The pluses : Good size house - could all have an en suite each ( in our 40s and don't want to share any more) comfy beds. Big living...

Thank you for your kind comments about Windy Mundy Farm's 'big living room' and 'interesting renovation'. The fire place is certainly 'intriguing' and was designed by a French architect. The glass bricks are very much a feature of the house and part of the sensitive restoration of the threshing barn. We entirely agree with you about the information leaflet. A...

We stayed at Windy Mundy in July for a family celebration. It was the perfect place to get away with all the family in such a beautiful setting. The farm house has been restored so that you get a sense of the original architecture with a huge open plan sitting/dining room with fireplace and enormous glass doors giving you a...

I'm so glad you enjoyed Windy Mundy Farm and the history of the Estate. I hope you managed to see the world's oldest tree house which is on the edge of the Estate close to the Elizabethan Pitchford Hall. I recently booked and stayed at Windy Mundy for a stag do. Booking direct with the estate was easy and communication with the owners was regular and uncomplicated. Finding a house of this quality willing to accept stag do bookings is rare, but this place is a real gem. The house was impeccably clean when we arrived and has everything...

“All the rooms are labelled A-G, which is helpful when drawing out of a hat! The rooms are all a good size and have ensuites. C has a fairly open plan ensuite with a bath only, the others have showers and A and G have both. G has views over the fields and garden but is closest to the noisy sheep!”
