This is the sixth time I’ve been to this place and every time it impresses, this time was quite special as it’s the first time I’d been here in about two years for obvious reasons. The grounds are as stunning as ever. The spa facilities weren’t open which is understandable. But the place was as comfy and welcoming as ever. Room light, clean, airy and spacious. Staff welcoming and polite. Special thanks to Aiden behind the bar who is an absolute superstar and keeps things running so efficiently and also Billy who was really friendly and professional and sorted me out with the best veggie curry I’ve had in a long time. I can’t wait to come back for trip number seven

Fantastic hotel! , after having issues with the hotel we had originally booked ( due to shocking customer service) we contacted Kenwood hall at short notice to accommodate us. Luke on reception was fantastic and although there were no family rooms available he arranged a Privilege double with an extra bed and a separate room for our 13yr old. On arrival and throughout our stay both Luke and Nicky on reception made a fuss of us all especially our 4 yr old and could not be more accommodating. The hotel has wonderful grounds for the kids to run around and explore and the added bonus of a games room with table tennis, table football, pool and darts as well as books and chairs for the little ones. There is a family friendly pub (the stags head) less than 5 min walk away which has a great garden and children’s play area. We used the hotel as a base to visit Chatsworth house and would be ideal for a base to visit the Peaks. We noticed it was extremely dog friendly too. Cannot recommend this hotel enough and will definitely be back if in the area.

We have stopped over on the way back from Scotland. Whenever available we book suites for extra privacy and space as we travel with a teenager. What we walked into was just amazing: the pictures speak for themselves! It is true the hotel needs renovation but it is very clean everywhere. As we were just staying in few other four star hotels that trip, I must admit this one was the cleanest and did not fail my usual bath tub test (meaning skin residue resurfacing upon rubbing). It was very clean and smooth! Bathroom is between bedroom and the living room - directly accessible from both. I had to call for upgraded suite amenities as they were not there (toiletries, bathrobes but they were provided later). My elite Accor membership perks were all honoured. There was an incident associated with our stay which I reported through Accor survey. It has been immediately attended to by most professional general manager. Things happen but how you react is the main thing. I would definitely return as the suite is just grand in a beautiful old Hall and we had a good night sleep among the peaceful grounds. Please support this hotel as prices are reasonable and if you book the room in old building, you are there for a treat.

First went to this hotel 40 years ago, have visited many times It has grown over the years. Missed the pool owing to covid. Peaceful break with very kind friendly staff, excellent meal and great afternoon tea. Breakfast was very good as well. Well done chef it was spot on. Yes the rooms are looking a bit tired now, the plumbing a bit iffy but the kind friendly staff and good service make up for this. Felt very safe but you always get someone refusing to wear a mask, just give them a wide berth, the place is big enough. Many thanks for an enjoyable break.

From the moment that we arrived to leaving we had an excellent room, good food and service for our 1night Dinner bed and breakfast. Plus a bottle of red wine. Thank you to all the staff. Yes some areas were being renewed but nothing to complain about.
