Thoroughly enjoyed my stay, only thing preventing 5 stars was the breakfast, the cooked meats weren't very good. The cereal and fruits were fine though. Would definitely stay here again, for business or pleasure. The room was very large and the bathroom was amazing. The rain shower was good. The view from my room was very nice and the staff...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

I arrived pretty late on in the evening having just come from a long train journey. I was greeted by the sight of the beautifully decorated hotel opposite Sheffield's Christmas market, I believe. The welcome I received on reception was lovely, a very charming and chatty man who checked me in with no fuss. Then the best surprise of all,...

Apparently it was the best part of two years since I stayed here, time flies! This time a 5th floor room, quiet, clean and comfortable with all the amenities. Pleasant and efficient check in and out. Breakfast on the average side but plenty of buffet choice.

Booked a two night Spa package(spa review separate) and thoroughly enjoyed the experience, we upgraded the room to the Privilege Rooms and was well worth the extra, the Hotel staff are all friendly, polite and nothing is too much trouble for them to make your stay as pleasant as possible, food at the Restaurant was beautifully presented and tasted as...

Well located in central part of the city. A modern building Reception is efficient and friendly. Check in & out process is quick. The ground floor includes a lobby lounge and the main restaurant. There are 2 entrances both of which are not immediately accessible by cars which requires a walk from the nearest street. If you have heavy luggage...

Very smart hotel, with tasteful public areas. The bedroom was large and the bathroom had a large shower and a decent bath. Other facilities in the room were good too- safe, fridge, iron and ironing board as well as the usual stuff. The restaurant was lovely, and food good. They did seem understaffed but everyone mucked in and it ran...

My family and I recently visited for the weekend, despite the grotty weather we were blown away by the facilities and excellent up keep of the Mercure Hotel right on our doorstep.
