From the moment I arrived to the day I left after my initial 2 night stay, I received a very warm and friendly reception. The food is excellent and very good value. Even though I'm not vegetarian I highly recommend the chickpea and butternut squash Balti. The rooms are clean, warm and very relaxing. The hotel and pub have a...

Booked as close to where my daughter lives. Rooms are clean, tidy and welcoming. Easy to find and on the tram route so the city is very accessible. Very quiet at night (was a bit worried with it being on a main road). Booked as bed and breakfast and the breakfast was AWESOME. Both veggies and that was not a...

For the price is was everything we expected and more. The bed wasn't the best ever, but if you are dead tired it is wonderful. The pub downstairs was fun and had a enjoyable selection of beers. Really nice people, wonderful staff. Breakfast was superb.

A Victorian era Inn, the accommodation is 6 first floor rooms, with adjoining private bathrooms, television, tea and coffee and comfortable beds. At the front of the hotel is a working pub with a comfortable modern dining area, and a warm and welcoming conservatory, with additional outdoor seating. The elevated position of the hotel gives for pleasant views to the...

Clean, friendly, pub hotel, with excellent food and beer. The owners and staff are passionate about customer service and it makes any short stay enjoyable. The only downside is the absence of nearby places of interest, so expect a tram ride there and back to do anything. The owners are candid about the need for refurbishment, but the price reflects...

Convenient location, staff very friendly, great breakfast. Only let down were the rooms that definitely need updating but they very clean. Bathroom very basic and shower horrendous. Couldn't complain for the price we paid for the rooms

This hotel was perfectly located for our one night stay, to attend a music night, venue only 5 minutes away by taxi. We only returned to hotel after 01:00 so the bar and live music was over and the hotel was quiet with no door banging or noise from groups. We had room 1 which was spotless and quite cool...

Excellent location a little out of the city centre but right on the tram route. Room was comfortable. Breakfast was great. Superb selection of well-kept beers featuring local breweries. Everybody was very friendly and helpful. Easy parking in the street. You must try the fish and chips. Would be great if you were heading to Hillsborough to catch a Wednesday...

The room rate at The Hillsborough Hotel are very reasonable. We stayed in room four, which is very roomy with good size bathroom. Tom's breakfasts are substantial and delicious. The pub features a good variety of well-kept real ales and (my favourite) a range of gins. There is a sunny conservatory, well-equipped with a range of children's board games. The...
