The decor is beautiful and rooms, private and public, are comfortable, cosy but opulent in their appearance. Our room had sweet-smelling toiletries, robes, slippers and even a loofah mit and comb. There were fresh milk and water in the fridge and a huge television. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful- such tasty sausages!. The staff were helpful and friendly.
This is the 2nd time we've stayed in this hotel and strongly recommend it. The hotel is beautiful, the service is excellent and the food is amazing. Attentive staff and great attention to giving great service.
An absolutely fantastic hotel that really does look at the detail. Always choose the suites then you’ll end up in the townhouse. Room service was great. 3rd visit for us and will return. Bathrooms are luxurious and I would definitely recommend
Friendly, professional staff. Room well designed and spacious. Good shower and the bed was comfortable. Quiet so got a good nights sleep although room a bit on the warm side ( the fan came in handy). Would recommend and will definitely stay again.
Arrived for our afternoon tea which had been bookedprior to our visit. I Arrived with four ladies, one being my niece who was celebrating her birthday. We live in different parts of the country so thought as it was a special occasion we would meet up and have one of what we thought to be a fabulous tea at the cost of £40.00 per person which included a glass of prosseco. I can only describe what arrived at our table as very disappointing. We had to draw to the attention of one of the waitresses that the hard cold sandwiches held together by a lolly stick had no filling in. She looked embarassed and hastily took it away. She replaced it with 3 fingers of a FRESH egg mayonnaise one. So in total the tea consisted of 5 fingers of stale sandwich per person plus 2 tiny hard scones with jam and cream and a seperate plate with tiny bitesize cakes on. We all agreed even though they discounted one of the teas, the cost was still £120.00. which was totally exhorbitant. We left within an hour all of the same opinion that we felt totally ripped off and dissapointed and should have gone elsewhere where as a family maybe would have enjoyed our teas. Steph Vallance…
I went to do my work experience there and trust me the place is amazing. All the works there are welcoming, services are amazing. I got to see the room s and how they are taken care of and it simply amazing, the amount of work put into the place is unbelievable. Their food is great, they also have a nice bar and restaurant. And there is much more to be seen I definitely recommend it. They even have a cinema 📽️📽️.
Nice stay but not luxury, staff really nice and polite. We had a room (even though the receptionist called it a suite it was still a room) in the building next door. We went to the main building to check in and it looked nicely decorated and luxurious. The lady at check-in (Nyssa I think she was called) was polite and pleasant, we had a free non-alcoholic welcome drink (it was really a shot), checked-in ourselves and the car for a ripping-off price of £20 a day and told us her colleague would take us to the room and show us around. He took us to the room but completely forgot to explain us where the facilities were such us the restaurant etc. We had bubbly and homemade chocolates included in the room package. Chocolates were a bit disappointing, 4 small chocolate balls that looked like they came out of a package were nicely presented on a plate. The room was quite big and modern, and nicely and impractical decorated. A reading lamp was hanging so low over the armchair that you could hit your head against it while sitting on the chair. TV was really small for the room size and so low that you needed to sit down in bed to be able to watch it. Another really impractical thing was the hair dryer, the cable was maybe 1 meter long nothing wrong with that but when you have the closest socket to the mirror at a distance of 2 meters then in becomes a really big struggle. The bathroom was really nice decorated and big with a shower and a bath, two sinks and enough toiletries for a good stay however the shower head was blue of the amount of limescale, the soap tray by window was hanging off the wall and the hot water was just hot enough so you were showering with cold water. On the other side the bath hot water was quite hot. Dinner was amazing, cannot fault anything and it was way beyond our expectations, really recommended. Malcom (I think his name was) was really polite and professional as well as another man who never picked up his name but looked like the head waiter or manager and came around a couple of times. We didn’t have a pleasant sleep due to the temperature in the room, aircon was difficult to make it work on a stable temperature and it was too hot during the night and way to cold in the morning when we woke up. We went down for breakfast and service from waitresses was good and coffee was really nice. That’s about it. It was really disappointing, a really cheap and poor quality breakfast, fried eggs undercooked in the oven/grill and not fried, and bacon hard and dry as if it has been sitting down on a heating lamp for hours. The buffet was alright not a lot to choose from and quality as low as the full English, I would have expected the pastries being homemade and not coming out from a box in the freezer given the high standards and quality of the dinner. Overall, the hotel is not worth the money payed, it wasn’t much better that what you find on a Premier Inn or Holiday Inn Express. The dinner experience was spectacular and luxurious which made the rest look so poor and not worth the money.…
What a great hotel. Small, personal, charismatic, beautifully decorated areas, magnificent large rooms. Really great restaurant with good food for dinner and breakfast. Can’t fault a thing, maybe a slightly bigger gym would be great but I guess that’s a nice to have ;-)
We stayed at the Roseate with another couple, and it was faultless from start to finish. From the minute we parked, to the minute we checked out, the staff couldn’t do enough for us. Every interaction with a staff member was polite, courteous and welcoming. The bar staff were fantastic - cocktail menu was extensive and the mixologists were excellent. The rooms were beautiful - really spacious, well thought out and had a touch of opulence. I especially liked the light reading books on the bedside table - really nice touch. We would 100% go back to this hotel - whoever curated the stay experience has got it spot on, it was more than perfect and I thank all the staff we met that weekend, as they made all of us feel welcome and special.
An excellent stay. A beautiful room and wonderful service from all the staff. We were treated like extra special guests. We had afternoon tea , dinner in The Reading Room and breakfast in our room the following morning (£5 tray charge, still worth it though.) We had been concerned about parking however we were fortunate and spaces were available. Parking is £20 for 24 hours, so a little steep. I would recommend.
