Lets start with the manager he agreed with how bad the hotel was but his words were "Its a cheap hotel for cheap people" so he lied so he didn't have to give me a refund! he was a very unpleasant actually unpleasant is too polite but i will keep it clean unlike the room in this hotel the bed was like sleeping on the floor you could feel the boards underneath so you may as well sleep on the floor the bedding was dirty who knows what lived in the sheets i thought they were moving on their own there were marks all over the walls god knows what they were the room was freezing not what you want when coming in from the cold the cleanest part of this hotel was the door mat on the way in! I wished i had looked at the reviews before my emergency booking AVOID THIS HOTEL RUDE MANAGEMENT DIRTY NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE!!

Staff were very unfriendly, shower wasn’t working, mould on ceiling and walls, got bitten whilst sleeping, loose floor tile, radiator was in a state. Will not be returning again. I have seen better accommodation in the army!

Absolute hell hole I refused to stay there and got a refund. Avoid at all costs. You have been warned broken light fittings broken windows. Dirty. Dead moths and bugs in bed. Mattress was about 2 inches thick really poor quality on top of two bed boxes that were broken and uneven

We booked this hotel pretty last minute to attend Reading festival and paid quite a lot of money for it. On arrival, we were told where to park (very tightly like sardines next to other cars) in the small car park. Walking into the hotel reception we were greeted with old run-down decor and a rather unpleasant damp/dusty smell. Walking up the creaking stairs to our room it sadly didn't get much better. The room was dirty and cold, the bathroom was full of cobwebs and mould and the door was so hard to open/close! We slept in our clothes as we couldn't bear to think about the state that we'd be sleeping in! This hotel has had a number of bad reviews over the years which we should definitely had checked out before booking however, you'd have thought that the owners would take all this feedback on board and fix up their hotel! The location was pretty good as we were able to walk 20 mins to the festival but besides that, there are literally no other positives to this place. Luckily we did not get bitten by bed bugs nor see any despite other reviews saying so but I do feel that we should get half of our money back as its probably the worst hotel that I have ever stayed in.

Please be aware this establishment has Bed Bugs! Booked in 16th December for four nights but only stayed two as there was a Bed Bug infestation in my room! Had my suspicions which were confirmed weds morning when I had bites and found several bed bugs. Informed the owner who offered my an alternative room which I obviously declined. Checked out straight away and have had to throw away my clothes and overnight bag as could not risk taking bed bugs home!

Positives: the hotel staff are really friendly and very helpful. There’s free parking and the hotel is near city centre. My room had a working radiator so was warm enough. Negatives: the decor was really awful - patches of wallpaper to hide other wallpaper, threadbare carpets, stained walls everywhere. My room had a “feature” wall where someone had tried to put wallpaper behind the bed but had cut round the furnishings badly. I hung my work clothes for the following day in the wardrobe and the had dust marks on when I removed them. I borrowed an iron but the temperature gauge was stuck on maximum so not really usable. I washed my hair and tried to use the hairdryer that is wired into the wall but it didn’t work. The room walls are very thin so I could hear all the nocturnal goings on, including the person in the room next to mine who had his tv on all night. I went down to breakfast whic is in a basement room past really bad decor and asked for porridge - no porridge, fruit or yoghurt? Nope. Full English breakfast or toast was the option so I asked for toast and then asked for butter to go with, but they only had margarine. I survived the stay and, like I previously said, the staff were lovely, it I wouldn’t stay again.

The only good thing was that there was free onsite parking and that was all. Horrible state this place is in mould everywhere on the walls the in the corridor all the wall paper is falling or torn off and the English breakfast was horrible because it was served ice cold!!!. I will not recommend this place for the same price we could have gotten a better place!

Inside is worn and discouraging, Room was extremely little and had awful airborne smell. Just two of the four lights in the room worked. Washroom was grotty and shower was shabby and hard to get a typical, warm progression of water out of. Towel radiator didn't work. Lodging cases morning meals are accessible yet when I inquired as to whether I could eat I was told no. Unquestionably not worth in excess of thirty pounds every night for a solitary room and certainly the sort of spot where you'd just use to crash since you'd needed to, instead of remaining there for a delight.

we booked via booking.com based on pictures and reviews. The location was good for our needs with free parking but that's where the positives end. Rooms were not as advertised with poor run down decor, an urgent need of maintenance and repairs and to be frank a bloody good clean.Walls were paper thin which did not help. All in all very disappointing Next time its Premier Inn
