We stayed on a Friday and Saturday night with the intention of visiting Blenheim palace. The hotel is very close to the gate, a five minute walk and right in the centre of the village. Our room was lovely, outside in the courtyard on the ground floor with its own front door. It looked like the lower floor of a...

After getting married we decide to have a little 2 night get away before our main honey moon later in the year. We booked directly, which we paid for the DBB rate with palace ticket. Great value with thought for just under £500. We booked the suite room with this. Personally I feel we had a feature double room 502...

Small hotel in the Cotswalds. Rooms clean and private. Good reception staff. Breakfast fine but not extraordinary eg Smoked Haddock undercooked probably due to not enough thawing.Kippers average. Nespresso in room appreciated. Restaurant expensive but wine list only average again but in contrast waiting staff delightful Worth a visit but check for deals to get a good return!

This hotel is a must for heritage buffs. The floors and doors are all original and must have seen many horses and coaches. Modern adjustments now mean good clean bathrooms although our towel heat rack never worked. I liked the complimentary Blenheim palace water by the bed with the pillow chocolates on the evening turn down service - which we...

Booked a weekend break for the Wife'e birthday as we had an enjoyable previous visit, check in was quick and friendly offering advice on local things to see and do.The rooms were spotless and roomy with nice touches such as the Nespresso coffee machine. Our evening meal was okay but the food lacked a bit of flavour and service was...

Lovely quaint hotel, quirky corridors and rooms, polite and helpful staff, the only problem is the parking. Would highly recommend the hotel, great views when at the top of the hotel, Blenhem Palace gates literally a 5 min walk from the hotel. Great for historians and walkers alike

Great hotel, full of character, friendly staff and excellent food. Stayed in Feature room No 53, very spacious with a comfortable four poster bed and very handily located next to a door onto the high street you gain entry from using your key card. Had DB&B which is well worth the price if you book direct with their winter break...

We had a fantastic 2 night stay here in January. As we'd got a special deal at a great price we expected a basic room. Lovely surprise when we had a beautiful big room on the front of the hotel with fantastic views up the High Street. Lovely bar - wine prices a bit steep but top quality service all...

We stayed here for the Xmas lights fest at Blenheim Palace. Perfect location for exploring Woodstock which has some nice little eateries and for getting the bus to Oxford and of course to get to Blenheim. It was a cold weekend and the hotel's fires were roaring. Our room was an upgrade and had a canopy bed, lovely toiletries, complimentary...
