This is an excellent hotel in many ways. It is a former prison but the rooms are of a very high standard with plenty of space. Breakfast was impressive with good service. The only problem is the ridiculous bar prices.

What a surprise booking by my wife for my birthday. We were originally booked into the outside rooms but on arrival was offered the cell block rooms. We stayed on the top floor and the room was fantastic. A conversion of 3 old cells into a luxury hotel room on a wing. Definitely a bucket list visit. Also you could...

This hotel has been on my bucket list for ages! Check in was busy but staff were friendly and helpful. I recommend upgrading and staying in a superior cell room. Lying in a roll top bath knowing the bathroom was once a cell for an inmate was very surreal. Ensure you book your parking well in advance limited parking at...

We booked an Executive King Room (via Booking.com) on the assumption from the website and info given that the room had a separate roll top bath and shower. The booking site gave no indication that the info on the room would vary (I checked). But to be sure - because we all know that what you see isn't always what...

Myself and my partner went here for a weekend so we could enjoy all that Oxford had to offer from a Central location. Upon arriving we had already enquired about parking at the hotel and we were not disappointed when we arrived and the valet took our car to park it and then brought all our Bags through whilst we...

We stayed in this hotel for a family event. Everything was wonderful, from attentive staff to comfortable rooms. The restaurant was very nice, and I highly recommend a visit to the bar. In the morning we had breakfast, which was delicious, and had good options to choose from. The rooms were nice, and comfortable. I was very impressed with the...
