We stayed for a weekend and had a fantastic time.nothing was too much trouble,we asked if we could use an iron and board, the manager stopped cooking breakfast to find it!He also shared his knowledge of the area to help us find hidden gems.Would definitely stay again

My wife and I have just spent the weekend in Oxford, staying at at the newton house. On arrival we were greeted by the friendly landlord, who removed his car from his personal garage to accommodate ours as his car park was full. Our room was spotless, warm and comfortable. The only downside was the tatty wardrobe. The breakfast on both mornings was...

We chose to stay here for our weekend away, as it was cheaper than most places, but the distance to the City center was also manageable, and we were so happy with it! Its a lovely place! Very cosy, clean and nicely decorated! The man that welcomed us was lovely and helpful, and showed us to our room which was...

Came to Oxford to see the Xmas market. Had a very pleasant stay in this guesthouse. Very warm welcome when we arrived and the room was adequate for our short stay. The breakfast was very nice and plenty of it and the staff were all very accommodating. No grumbles at all and would definitely stay there again. The on site...

Breakfast fine, good choice of cereals and Full English adequate. All staff we encountered were happy and helpful. On site car park and pleasant 10 minute...

First, the location of this B and B is perfect especially if you are on foot. It is about a 10 minute walk to the center of Oxford with plenty of buses stopping on the block. Our room was #15 which faced the back and car park. We found the room to be very quiet and often had the window...

Just got back from a 3 night stay (28th October) had a double room which was clean but there were no draws and only one single wardrobe in the room. I don't know if I met the owner or not as when we arrived someone was in the kitchen area and asked if we had booked, we were given the...

For exploring Oxford, this is an excellent location. We walked from one end to the other, and lots of place in between. Newton House was comfortable, friendly, very good breakfasts, the bedroom was comfortable, clean, and tidy, although the shower was a bit temperamental. We'd certainly return.

The location and parking were excellent and the main reason we booked the Newton. It was only a 10 minute walk to the city centre but buses were very frequent if you feel lazy.We would...
