Our room was located on the first floor facing rear car park. Room was very small, with small and squeaky double bed. We came only for one night so did not have too much stuff, but if we came for 3 nights we would have nowhere to store anything. There was one very small wardrobe with few hangers, vanity table...

The entrance is tired and unwelcoming. The room we were allocated was very cramped but did look like the picture on the booking site;how they took the photo makes it look bigger than it actually is.The bed was smaller than a standard double and was very creaky and uncomfortable. The en-suite shower and toilet was small too, not good for the...

Very cosy, friendly staff, fantastic breakfast options, felt very welcome as guests, nice room, walkable distance to the city centre (no need to get the bus), parking access, great for families, friends and couples.

Second time we've stopped here, both stays for two nights. Good value for money. Clean, comfortable, quiet. Excellent breakfast, fresh and hot full English. Ten minute walk into centre or plenty of buses if you want. Nearby pub does great value pub-grub and decent ale or stretch your legs and go into town.

This was a cosy little place for me to bunker down for the night and prep for my nights' festivities out on the town. The staff were extremely helpful and ever willing to cater to my needs though conditions as you would expect were somewhat cramped. My breakfast was a cheap and cheerful affair though this is what I'd come...

Though the rooms are very basic and the whole place needs a fresh coat of paint, I found the place to be clean and had everything I needed for an overnight stay. WiFi works, as does the shower, breakfast was better than I expected, and the staff were helpful and friendly, so overall I have no complaints. The free car...

Booked for just the one night to do a river cruise from folly bridge just a couple of hundred yards away. Was ideal location for this and is also just 10 min walk to the town center and all the historic sites. Room was clean tidy and fine for a short stop. Breakfast was really very nice indeed. Very well...

Delightful, small B&B with clean, cozy rooms. Staff was very kind and attentive; generous continental or full English breakfast. A pleasant, short walk from town centre. Would definitely stay here again!

Hotels in Oxford are massively overpriced, and the 'budget' hotels aren't terribly budget. So the Newton House rates, while not cheap, are at the more affordable end. I booked with some trepidation as the reviews on Tripadviser, while mixed, consistently mentioned 'worn' and 'shabby' re the furnishings and furniture. We were, however, very pleasantly surprised! Newton House had clearly taken...

Decent small guesthouse about 10 mins gentle walk from city centre. Bus stop outside if you can't face the walk. Comfortable rooms, decent breakfast, on-site parking. Nothing flash but more than happy with our stay here for an event in Oxford. We had a room for three and there were enough towels etc for three which many hotels overlook !...
