The Oxford Townhouse is great. The staff are lovely. The room we had was beautifully finished, very clean and obviously very well looked after. Lots of nice little touches including a decent coffee machine in the room, complimentary water, snacks and soft drinks. Lovely en suite shower with underfloor heating in the bathroom. The breakfast dining room is immaculate and...

Credit has to go to the owners who have clearly put a huge amount of effort into designing a B&B that is as close to covering all one needs in a stay. The price meets the quality of the room and is worth paying for. The only negative for me was that our room was on the car park side...

Very friendly hotel in a convenient location. 10 minute walk into the city centre or a bus practically outside the door. No lift but very helpful staff carried my bags up for me. I was on my own and stayed in their fairly small single room in the loft. Ultra clean and very stylish. Complimentary soft drinks and biscuits a...

Lovely boutique hotel. Very tastefully decorated and friendly staff. The little extras were unexpected, a really nice touch. Will definitely stay again next time I'm in the Oxford area. 100% recommend.

One night stay. Impressive little place. Newly decorated to very high standard, quality furnishings, thoughtful little touches ( eg umbrellas, energy saving led night lights in bathroom, paraban free toiletries). In short room had everything you need and was comfortable and clean, perhaps not uber luxurious but good. Excellent wifi, free soft drinks in minibar, little car park. Part time...

We stayed for 2 nights and were thoroughly impressed with the service and standard of accommodation. The hotel is very easy to locate - on the main road in to Oxford and has secure parking for 9 vehicles. It is about a 15 minute walk to the centre and a taxi from Broad Street costs less than £5. We were...

Found this delightful place during a search for accommodation in Oxford for a mini week end visit. Liked the look of the rooms and its situation - 20 min walk into Oxford and it had free parking. My husband booked it on line and we paid £260 for the two nights. I have to say we were not disappointed when...

We booked the classic king suite. The hotel is nicely decorated, as are all the rooms, which was lovely. There is free parking and the staff are very helpful too. The hotel is pretty close to town, which was great. The only downsides were that there was a bit of traffic noise from the main road and some sort of...

Stayed for one night in a single room on the top floor. Room was spacious and very modern. It had a large TV, tea n coffee and even 6 complimentary cans of drink in a fridge (nice touch) The WiFi worked well, the shower was easy to operate and nice and hot. No problems with parking, it's free and located...

The staff are really friendly and helpful, the breakfast is excellent and the room was very smart and comfortable. The location is great - only a ten minute walk from the centre of Oxford. It was good to have free parking too. Loved the extra touches like the cookies and free tea/coffee/soft drinks.

Thank SandyJC

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Oxford Townhouse is a new hotel opened in February 2016. It is designed specifically for those who look for hotel-type facilities, such as air conditioning, but are reluctant to spend money on features they do not need. With only 15 rooms we are small enough to appreciate you as an individual but large enough to provide a reception service from 07:00 to 22:30. Throughout the design our emphasis has been on magnifying natural light using a repetitive colour palette of whites, beige, soft greys and cool blues with the occasional use of darker earthy shades of charcoal, brown, navy and black to create visual interest. We have tried to use natural materials from ceramic, wood and stone to tactile linen, wool and felt. Window treatments are simple and pared back to let in as much light as possible. We have three types of room, with 2 singles, 8 classic double/twin rooms and 5 superior double rooms. All rates include complimentary English breakfast and on-site car parking. Standard Room Facilities En-suite shower rooms Air conditioning Mini bar with complimentary soft drinks Laptop safe Electronic door locks Free Wi-Fi Large-screen LED SmartTV Hair-dryer USB charging points Large full-length mirror Tea & coffee making facilities Superior Room Facilities Our Superior Rooms are larger, offer all the standard facilities and the following additions: Easy chairs Desk and chair King-size bed Nespresso machine Rain showers Although our hotel is new, it is housed in 2 late-Victorian houses without a lift. We have 3 floors of rooms and breakfast is in the semi basement and additionally there are 8 steps to the front door. Although we can offer assistance with luggage we are not a full-service hotel so you need to take into account the potential logistical difficulties when you book. ... more   less
