Booked on the internet for £125 for one night. A very tatty building. The room smelt and was very tatty and dark - many of the lights were either not working or had no bulbs. No heating until 9pm and the electric circuits kept cutting out, so no TV etc for long periods. No internet at all during my stay....

I booked 5 nights and changed it to 4, several weeks in advance. Refunds were guaranteed if 24 hours notice was given. I'm still waiting for my refund, despite repeated reminders. What more can I say? It's a shame it came to this - a simple, honest, refund was all that was required.

This is a very old inn but it is sadly down-at-heel. Good points: great location, kind and friendly staff, comfy bed, car park. Entrance through a small bar, tiny rooms up a rickety staircase. That's ok, but bits of the cladding on the walls fell off as we passed, the light fittings and window catches were wonky, no hand towel...

We popped into here on the off chance of getting a family room after a spur of the moment trip to Oxford while on the way home from Norwich, however they only slept 3 but we were offered accomodation out the back in the court yard, The rooms were clean, and fresh with everything we needed like a self contained...

Very old in. Did not room there but had a chance to have an ale outside. You really feel the purpose of this old inn. If you are taller than 5 foot 10 don't forget to bend down in the entry way in order to avoid seeing a few stars. Well worth the short walk from downtown.

Great location very close to city centre , rooms comfortable and very clean yes there is no double glazing and if your room is on front there will be traffic noise heard , but didn't stop from getting a reasonable nights sleep . Breakfast was tasty really good quality thick cut bacon very enjoyable Did think the price was a...

Just got back from a two night stay in Oxford. Chose this place because of its location and look. Was a quirky little place, and mastering the second floor of stairs in what is an old coaching inn whilst under the influence was tricky. Room was clean, bathroom nice ( a little small but more than functional), bed comfy and...

Stayed 2 nights at this pub June 20th. Very well located - approx 10 minutes from the centre and a stones throw away from our favourite morroccon restaurant 'Kasbah'! Very friendly staff/landlord and the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included in the price but we missed it both mornings due to prior commitments. The pub had its own...

17th century coaching inn, which now finds itself on top of a busy main route into Oxford. Very welcoming once you are inside though, which includes the friendly and helpful staff…the landlord had most kindly even planned a route map for me to use the next day in order to travel to an interview! I stayed in room 5, which...

The lights of the room were not working. We asked the service to repair it, the day put off the reparation. Finally they did not repair it in 5 days!!! The hotel was clean, but a little noise. It's well connected to the city center.
