We are a couple walking the Thames Path national trail, and we were looking for a bed for a good night's sleep. To be honest, reading previous Trip Advisor reviews, we tried to book a room at every other establishment in Henley, but as they were all full (a half marathon was taking place on the Sunday) we ended up...

Looked at the reviews and were prepared to book a nights stay for our selves and our daughter, as you never know...... All that has been written is what we found. We were booked in by a cheerful and helpful member of staff but that is the only positive. The whole place is so tired and other reviews reflect this....

Just got back from a night here... yes the hotel is old and dated and needs a little tlc here and there... but the room was huge, bedding and towels were clean and the fawlty towers quirkyness was charming in its own way. Even the fact that at 8.30am on Sunday morning they were hoovering the hallway outside our room...

We booked a family room which was very spacious and had a great view of the river. The hotel offers off road parking and also a cozy hotel bar. The staff were very friendly, but the hotel does look a bit tired and in need of a bit of a refurbishment in places. Breakfast at the weekend is served between...

We stayed at this Hotel for 2 nights and everything was fine. We had courtyard rooms which from the outside just looked like glorified huts but once inside everything was just fine, bed extremely comfy plenty of pillows, bathroom modern and plenty of towels, the room was a little small and if I choose to stay here again for an...

Recently had my 50th Birthday Party at this hotel. Couldn't have asked for more helpful and accommodating staff. Planning and organsing this event was easy as I was able to request particular menu choices, how I wanted the room to be decorated, music etc. The Hotel is very traditional and is situated close to the Thames in the heart of...

Tonight's lukewarm £3 cappucinos in the bar were abysmal. Apparently they can't serve an Americano nor can they do a hot chocolate from the bar - in this day and age this is simply not believable when you are the only one in the bar. Also if the fire is not lit, the hotel bar feels cold and unwelcoming because...

We stayed here for our son's wedding for two nights. We had a good room at the top facing the road, which was spacious and well furnished. All a bit worn but I don't mind that as long as it is clean. The staff were excellent, making sure everyone had rooms early so they could get changed swapping rooms for...
