Room 10 is dreadful and represents poor value unless it is less than £75. Poor fixtures and fittings.Good reviews of this hotel are confusing unless we go the worst room in the place.Only the Restaurant represents reasonable value

Excellent location, especially for wonderful shops in Burford. Helpful staff. Dog friendly. Family friendly. Car park where parking is mostly impossible. Good value and would certainly return to this historic gem.

Just returned from two nights at this great hotel in such a convenient location in Burford. We stayed in a courtyard room which was large, nicely furnished and quiet, ideal for my husband who sometimes has difficulty with stairs. Breakfast was full of choice and great quality, as was the meal we had one evening. We had taken our two...

We had a more modern room at the back of the hotel which was spacious even with our travel cot. The facilities were great and lots of choice for breakfast. We didn't use the bar or restaurant as we stayed to attend a family wedding nearby x

Sweet little hotel in charming Cotswold village. Quirky old world hotel design replete with a lovely, cozy lounge. Located in the heart of the village near the local shops and pubs. Solid restaurant offerings. Wonderful and attentive staff made us wish our short stay was longer.

We had the Trafalgar, Room 6, for a Friday night, with dinner and breakfast, but not on a deal. Total cost £178. Great room, all very comfortable, with Sky, WiFi, nice ensuite (but the bath panel needed fixing, no big deal). Good dinner in cosy restaurant, where we had a equally good breakfast the next morning. Charming service, parking best...

My companion and I stayed for 1 night (mid week) end of February 2015. Our room (with a 4 poster bed) was a superior double (Room 4) on the first floor facing the main road. Very noisy during the night (road traffic and creaking floor boards from the room upstairs). Bathroom was ok, toiletries and fluffy towels were provided, but...

Fabulous food, beautifully presented and great hospitality; there were 17 of us dining on a Saturday lunchtime, so it was a tall order to serve the food quickly to everyone and avoid any of us waiting around. The staff were so courteous and helpful, we were all very impressed and would definitely recommend.

I visited the Bull at Bulford on the strength of recommendations from my family and friends and I have to admit when I arrived and looked at the menu I was a little disappointed. I wouldn't say I was a fussy eater but there was very little that sounded appetising to me. By the time the starters arrived I was...

Stayed for a 2 night break. Warmly welcomed on arrival & throughout our stay the staff were wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble, including helping with the crossword! The food was equally good, beautifully presented & good portions. A very nice room with all facilities, bathroom with good toiletries & fluffy towels, perhaps the bedroom was on the small side...
