Visited The Lamb for a family lunch. Immediate impression of The Lamb (from outside and upon entry) is the age of the building. Lots of character, low ceilings, open fires etc. We were allocated our own dining area, with a dedicated waiter, who was really attentive. Drinks arrived quickly, drawing on a good range (just watch out for the cost...

We were made very welcome in the busy little bar at lunchtime. It was very cosy with a log fire. Just stopping for a short break and light lunch but nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Lovely comfortable atmosphere in charming characterful bar. Should say the food we had was really good quality. Open crayfishtail sandwiches and fishcake...

Dropped in for a bar meal on a Friday night, fantastic welcome by the Duty Manager. Comfortable and relaxed in the bar area, unpretentious, food excellent and served by a smiling waitress. Fish cakes so delicious they ran out; burger with cheese and bacon very tasty followed by lemon pomfret with fruit coulis ,melted in the mouth. Definitely a place...

Always a treat to come to this wonderful hotel which provides a truly relaxing environment from which the wider Cotswolds can be enjoyed. Bill Ramsay and his team work really hard to make The Lamb a memorable place to stay. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them and this attitude creates a really lovely home from home atmosphere. If...

Meet up with friends for a very enjoyable lunch as always at the Lamb. Good atmosphere very attentive service with a sense of humour. Food good if a little sparse in quantity. Nice log fire in the lounge for pre-lunch coffee.

My boyfriend and I ate at The Lamb Inn last night and we had the most incredible dinner I just couldn't wait to leave a glowing review on trip advisor. You have a choice of an a la carte menu or an 8 course tasting menu in the formal dining restaurant and we opted for the latter as it was...

We only stopped off here for a drink on our way through to a hotel with a meal booked previously. The bar area was cosy, with log fire but very dark. 12.30 lunch time on a Wednesday and we were the only two in there. The head barman was 'training' another colleague and the 'receptionist' was in and out. Apart...

We visited the lamb on a wet and dull Tuesday in January, we had drinks in the bar beside a big roaring fire!! ( tried the Cotswold lavender Gin) very nice. Were shown to our table again with a lovely wood burner, the two course lunch was exceptional, Balintine of rabbit for starters and Duck Brest for mains, the flavours...

My wife and I were in Burford for a day out and decided to have lunch in the lamb. Both our meals were well below what we expected my partridge was dry and tasteless , and my wife's chicken salad was equally as bad . And to be charged 8.25 for a glass of Pinot Grigio 250m was all l...

Booked a standard room for my birthday but when we arrived, we had been upgraded to the best room in the hotel - The Allium and wow!!! It was an absolutely amazing room and we've stayed in rooms before the size of the bathroom! We couldn't fault the room at all and felt privileged to have been upgraded as it...
