We were in the rear separate cottage and it was just ideal for the two of us. Firstly the hosts, welcoming and friendly( especially digby) Then the accomodation, everything we needed. Thirdly the location in the quiet village of Fulbrook 10 minutes gentle walk into the beautiful town of Burford. Finally the breakfast Peter excels in providing a large perfectly...

We had long planned a trip to the English countryside and our stay in Star Cottage exceeded our expectations. Our hosts Peter and Sally were amazing. Despite their hospitality and helpfulness, you do not feel your privacy invaded in the cottage like environment. We stayed at the barn which was decorated in a classical design with modern touches and utilities....

Everything about this property is just perfect. The room was comfortable, the bed perfect after a 30,000 hour flight (ok, I exaggerate), the service impeccable, the breakfast divine (you must try the smoked trout with scrambled eggs), and Digby the spaniel is the star of the show- pun intended. Thank you Peter & Sally for a great stay.

Very comfortable and very welcoming host. Lovely old cottage with large room with third single bed. Well equiped and large bathroom. Lovely breakfast. We will definately consider returning. Only comment - rather hard to find in the dark, the picture on the website shows the far end of Meadow Lane but the cottage is near the beginning on the right....

We spent a lovely weekend at Star Cottage. Peter and Sally were great hosts. We had Room 1 which is the larger of the two rooms and every need was catered for. Breakfasts were plentiful, Peter makes perfect porridge! If you are exploring the area this place is a great base, especially with Burford being a ten minute stroll and...

Thank you for your review and kind words. If you are coming this way again please consider us again. The Spice Lounge always serves the most delicious meals, it is a very reliable curry house.

We loved our long weekend at Star Cottage - beautifully decorated room and exceptionally comfy bed! Breakfasts were a treat - from porridge and full English right down to the delicious home-made marmalade and blackberry jam. Peter and Sally were welcoming and friendly. I thoroughly recommend this B&B.

Sadly, only had one night stay here. I stayed in the smaller accommodation. I very impressed with the clean, beautifully presented and well equipped room, the cookies were delicious. Had a great night sleep before having to collect sister very early from Brize Norton. I was made to feel really welcome on arrival by the owners who were helpful and...

We stayed one night at Star Cottage having driven down from the Peak District (mini road trip). The cottage is cosy and incredibly well equipped: we we offered tea on arrival, a hospitality tray in the room contained home baked biscuits; a chiller cabinet in the breakfast room had fresh milk; the guide to the room/area was comprehensive. Sally &...

Sally warmly greeted us with madeleines and tea, which we enjoyed in the garden with Digby the extremely friendly dog. Sally kindly upgraded us to a larger room with a very large bathroom, in the main house, where we slept very comfortably and enjoyed the cookies! The room had some lovely fabrics, especially the patchwork curtains, which I believe were...

Had a fantastic time. The cottage and gardens are absolutely beautiful as well as the village and nearby towns. Peter looked after us all very well and the food and all the little finishes were great. Digby the dog is lovely and a bit crazy so he was great to have around and play with. Would recommend staying here to...
