Room smelled of stale cigarette smoke. Management snippy and less than helpful. Food bland. Very very noisy establishment and I was waiting for the handle to fall off the door for all 3 nights. No glass in room for water was an issue. Mainly a stale smelly room was the issue!!

Comfortable, warm, all staff friendly, breakfast good. It was a great location for us within an easy walk to the high road. Parking in site was adequate. Price was ok for the area. If you want chandeliers and four posters go spend 3 times more elsewhere!

This is a great place to go if you're visiting the University of Nottingham and want to go up the day before to see the city. The prices were very reasonable with a cooked breakfast included which had lovely service. There are also little sitting rooms with magazines if you want to venture out of your room in the evening....

We stayed for 1 night visiting our son who is at university. When we arrived we had a very warm welcome from a lady called Karen. She accompanied us to our room. The room was quite spacious but above all spotless. So was the bathroom! The beds were comfortable too.In the morning we were served a nice breakfast and again...

There are two buildings. The main building with reception and breakfast room. I was shown to the second building, very old and dated, no on suite not even a toilet in your room. Room was damp and I woke up to find silver fish crawling on my bed. I complained and was given a room in the main building with...

We stayed for 3 nights in early Feb 2017. Very clean, everyone very friendly. Breakfast was freshly made, and the woman serving breakfast was so happy it helped enhance the stay. Its not a 5 rating though as unexpectedly they wanted payment on arrival which we aren't used to, and no mushrooms, hashbrowns nor porridge in the breakfast options. Ample...

Stayed in a single en-suite last night. Very 1970's in terms of decor. Clean and basic with a very comfy bed and excellent breakfast. Lot's of supermarkets, pubs nearby. Ample parking on site. Will definitely stay again.

Tired and dated hotel (particularly the rear rooms). The breakfast is very good, with plenty of option and the staff are very polite and cheerful (Particularly the lady serving breakfast). I stayed in room 23 which was in the rear building, it was clean and the beds comfy (the 2 most important things) however the room was very dated, the...

We stayed at the hotel earlier in the year when visiting our daughter. We wanted somewhere a little 'out of town' and thought this would fit the bill. The hotel is what I would describe as a little 'dated' furnishing-wise, but our room was very clean, the bed linen was good quality as was the furniture. We had everything we...
