Just spent three very relaxing days at the Twice Brewed Inn. Our room was newly refurbished and very comfortable. Enjoyed some great meals there - they do a great Northumberland full English breakfast, and after you've been out exploring Hadrians Wall all day some brilliant and tasty evening meals. Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable room and good beer - the...

Just returned from Twice Brewed after an excellent stay. Ticks all the boxes, excellent staff, good food and great location. The staff are particularly helpful and a special recommendation to the Manager (Matthew) who went 'the extra mile' to make a stay a comfortable and pleasant one. Will be returning to sample the new brewery.... Alison Suthers

We stayed in the area for two nights, and had both dinners and also lunch here. All three meals were great! I was in a group of nine people, and the group went here for dinner both days. All the meals everyone ordered were excellent. I had the gammon--something I'd never had before--and fell in love with it. Scrumptious. Several...

We have been visiting this pub several times a year for many decades but last year they made major changes. The barmaid was very friendly and welcoming, beer was expensive. Overall they have made better use of the space with a nicer shaped bar and fresh decor. However the bonkets that line the walls are narrow, slope down slightly and...

Dear col-Sheila, Thank you for leaving a review of The Twice Brewed, I am surprised to hear there was not enough of a selection on the "Lite Bites" menu - we offer 4 types of sandwich so I don't understand why there was only one option available and agree, this is not good enough and we are sorry for this....

We holiday at Bardon Mill every year and used to eat in this pub.Last year it was refurbished and we decided to try it out.Service was slow food was not of high quality. The steak pie was the most disgusting we've ever eaten. It had large pieces of jelly like grizzle. My daughter in law thought one large piece was meat and went...

Dear margareta123212016, I am so sorry to hear of your disappointing visit to The Twice Brewed, it is absolutely not our norm - I would be interested to know what your server said when you mentioned the issue? I am very surprised it was not exchanged for you immediately which is what we always do in such a situation. Whilst...

We stayed here en route to Edinburgh for the Scotland/Wales game towards the end of Feb 2017. We have stayed before and love the position and everything about the place. This time we found that it had been renovated with all rooms being en suite and newly decorated. This has made the venue even more comfortable and attractive. The bar...

Having just come off a long muddy trek along the wall nearby, we decided to grab a refresher. Turns out my boots were not as muddy as my partners and therefore she sat outside and I went in to get the drinks. On coming back out a lovely lady enquired as to why we were sat out in the cold,...

Dear Buzzyboy666, Eeeee it'd be a sad place without a bit of muck or dirt - we welcome walkers always, no matter how filthy! It is a lovely place to sit outside but not in this, our finest Northumbrian weather! Hope you do get a chance to return and sample the food, we'd love to see you muddy or not....

We stayed at the Twice Brewed last night and it was a delight. The service was exceptionally good; staff genuinely made an effort to look after you and made our children feel very welcome. The bar food was fantastic and the breakfast very good too. Roaring fires and decent beers and wine list. Bedrooms felt newly refurbished, small but with...

We had just come down from a hike along Steele Rigg on Hadrian's Wall to see Sycamore Gap. We were wet, tired and hungry and we stopped at Twice Brewed Pub at the bottom of the hill, along Route 122. The place was warm and inviting and there were a lot of hikers' packs near the hotel, part. The first thing...
