Having just come off a long muddy trek along the wall nearby, we decided to grab a refresher. Turns out my boots were not as muddy as my partners and therefore she sat outside and I went in to get the drinks. On coming back out a lovely lady enquired as to why we were sat out in the cold,...

We stayed at the Twice Brewed last night and it was a delight. The service was exceptionally good; staff genuinely made an effort to look after you and made our children feel very welcome. The bar food was fantastic and the breakfast very good too. Roaring fires and decent beers and wine list. Bedrooms felt newly refurbished, small but with...

We had just come down from a hike along Steele Rigg on Hadrian's Wall to see Sycamore Gap. We were wet, tired and hungry and we stopped at Twice Brewed Pub at the bottom of the hill, along Route 122. The place was warm and inviting and there were a lot of hikers' packs near the hotel, part. The first thing...

Dear NRGYMaryland, Thank you for leaving such a complimentary review of The Twice Brewed - it is great to hear you enjoyed your visit to us, that the staff were helpful and that we warmed you up! Those fires are indeed very inviting on a cold, Northumbrian day. Hopefully, if you are exploring the area again you'll pop in again....

We went to have lunch - we called 12months before and it was being refurbished. Glad we went back. The lunch was excellent in very pleasant surroundings and the service excellent. We even put our pin in the map.

Went for this inn as it was close to Hardian's Wall. Room we had was small but comfortable, ideal for walkers with little luggage. Staff were great and approachable and the menu had a good range of locally sourced produce. The breakfast the next day was to die for. It was cooked to perfection and set you up for the...

We stopped here for a light lunch on Saturday at about 13:30. The good part was that although the Inn was less than half full but the heating was on 110% full. We ordered two burgers and waited, we could see the service from the Kitchen and counted three mains, two mains and a sandwich after 45 minutes I was...

Dear Colin J, Thank you for leaving a review of The Twice Brewed, it is true, those fires do belt out some heat! We are sorry to hear that the service wasn't up to scratch and would like to assure you that this is something we are working on, especially during the quieter months. We do hope you might give...

This B&B is located within metres of the best part of Hadrian's Wall. The service and food are faultless. Indeed, the evening meals are quite wonderful and would put the best London pubs to the test. The rooms are quite small, but space is generously allocated to the en suite bathroom. There is nothing to fault about this Inn. We...

Nicely located Pub/Hotel. The staff were very helpful & accommodating. Food & beer were good. My only little problem is the room quite small but very useably, we had cracking views across the hills so no complaints at all there. The rooms could do with more sound proofing, as we could hear all sorts of noises including somebody coughing their...

Visited for lunch after a walk in such a pretty area. Dogs welcome, so in we went. Really clean inside and modern looking, didn't have that dirty pub carpet and chairs feel about it, but my goodness what a wait! Arrived at 1pm and stood at the bar for about 15 minutes (and I'm being serious) watching other people being...
