We stayed for the Kielder marathon weekend, we usually stay at leaplish but it was closed for building work. We will defiantly be coming back here again. Steve the warden and his wife whose name is didn't get were friendly, welcoming and helpful. There had been a lot of rain in the few days before we stayed so the grass...

Steve is the most helpful warden we could ask for, going above and beyond every day we were there. Midges weren't too bad and lots of stuff to do all around. Well recommended! There's the info site for bike rides a few minutes walk away. A nice pub at the end of the site and we went on a short...

This is remote even if you can drive to it. Excellent site with great facilities and amazing star gazing with no light from towns or cities. Beware, it can rain (and it did) but luckily only at night. plenty of walking from the site. peaceful, natural and without the crowds. lovely

We visited this site for a weekend of cycling. It's located near the start of the lakeside way. The owner is friendly and willing to help visitors. The toilet block is clean and showers are hot. Various BBQ,s (I would recommend taking a grill) and picnic tables are located around the site. When it's not overcast you are presented with...

Stayed here a couple of weeks ago for two nights in our motorhome with our dog. We all enjoyed lovely walks, scenery and unfortunately midges..eaten alive! First stay at this site but will be back early next year before the midges arrive. No phone signal, but it did not affect our short stay here. Toilet and showers were kept clean,...

What a brilliant campsite run by a brilliant warden Steve who is very helpful. Our friends tent broke in the wind and was beyond repair so Steve allowed her to use one of the pods a very kind gesture. The campsite is a short walk to the village pub the Anglers Arms where we ate Sunday lunch which was superb.

Our annual camping pilgrimage found a family of 4 at the Kielder Caravan and Camp site over the August bank holiday weekend. The campsite was clean and the shower facilities of reasonable standard, cleaned on a daily basis. The camp site manager Steve was very helpful and suggested a few cycle routes which we enjoyed. The site is located a...

Super helpful as we arrived. Freedom to pick where we wanted to pitch our tent. Toilet facilities were clean every time we visited. Pub (also excellent) is a 5 min walk through the campsite. Didn't get to see how good the stars are as it was really overcast but the star gazing hut was a great warm place to watch...

This campsite was a great find. Booking online was easy and the rates were very reasonable. We arrived hot and tired from an afternoon spent walking along the north shore of Kielder reservoir. Steve the warden was very welcoming, he asked us what we wanted from our stay and gave us all the information we needed to pitch up. The...

Just returned from camping and have to say its the best site we've stayed at. My boyfriend has stayed here a few times with friends. There is plenty to do around the site, clean facilities, polite people and dog friendly. Steve the warden is a lovely guy and works so hard everyday. We stayed at the bottom of the site...
