Val picked us up from Steel Rigg car park, although this involved a hike up the hill from 'Twice Brewed' car park as the farmhouse B&B is quite remote. The bedroom was clean and functional, although a little tired, and unfortunately the shower attachment above the bath wasn't working. However, Val kindly took us to and from 'Twice Brewed' later...

We were walking the wall and found this B and B met the bill as far as we were concerned. Mrs Gibson has been running the ship for many years and provides a homely place to rest. We were picked up from Steel Rigg car park, and delivered back there the next morning. She also drove us to the pub...

A lovely quiet setting just north of Hadrian's wall with hundreds of swallows flying around. The ambience was great, the welcome by Val the owner was warm and friendly, the breakfast was good and the company of other walkers was most enjoyable. The bed was very comfortable being of the memory foam mattress. The plumbing was disappointing as there was...

Val went to a lot of trouble to come and find us after we had phoned from Vindoland and it was as well she did as the farm is a distance from Hadrian's Wall. Once there she offered us a beer and gave us a chance to change before we were taken to the "neighbours" where we had an excellent...

We stayed one night B&B doing the Hadrian’s Wall walk. It is not ideally situated, as it is over 1 mile from the walk trail, adding to the journey (mostly downhill there, mostly uphill back). It is a strange mix. The room was absolutely beautiful, large and well furnished, a bathroom as big as a small bedroom – felt like...

We arrived very late at night so although had issues finding it we really appreciated the fact that Val stayed up late and waited for us. Nothing was too much trouble even during our brief stay which made everything all the better. Will definitely return to spend some more time walking around the wall.

We didn't have trouble finding the bed and breakfast. There were signs directing us there. The country side is beautiful. The house martins, sheep and little lambs are animals we don' have at home. You can see Hadrian's Wall in the distance. The scenery from our room window was beautiful. The room was large and the bathroom was large and...

We stayed at Gibbs Hill Famr while on the Hadrians Wall Walk. It was a long day hiking in overcast, drizzly weather and we were welcomed with tea and biscuits the moment we walked in. Val agreed to pick us up at the Steel Rigg car park but we decided to walk and it was an easy pleasant walk down...

I had a delightful stay at Val's B&B. Val was very warm, charming and hospitable. I stayed on Monday 7 April after my 2nd day of walking Hadrian's Wall. It was a very wet day so I arrived soaked and cold in the early evening. Val made sure my clothes and boots were dried and the room had a brilliant...

This location was 1.5 miles from the wall at its nearest point, the saving grace is that val gibson will pick you up from steel rigg car park.We had wandered down to twice brewed for a pint and managed to persuade her to pick us up from the pub carpark,so top marks there.there have been mixed reviews about this place.Friendliness and...
