We arrived on word of mouth. We were so unhappy with the room.It was not what was advertised..It was situated off the foyer next to a toilet. It just about fit the bed in.The bathroom was dated and mingy.I have pics to prove my words...If you stay dont stay in room 9.

I cannot understand the glowing reviews of this property. Although we had booked, and were going to be charged for, a luxury room, the room we were allocated (room 11) was anything but. At first glance the room appeared ok. However on closer inspection the window frames were rotting, the paintwork around the door was very scuffed and there was...

My husband and I stayed on 14th and 15th November 2014 and it was lovely. We arrived quite late on the evening on the first night and I was greeted by a very friendly lady who explained everything from the fob for the door to the breakfast times. The room we stayed in was very spacious and beautifully decorated. It...

We were warmly greeted and shown the breakfast room, received breakfast times, shown how to work the fob should we find the front door locked and then to our room. The room was beautiful, spacious and well stocked with tea and coffee, and toiletries. There is a choice of breakfast...

Most of all the staff are fabulous, they made each and everyone of us welcome especially our Kev! I will definitely stay...

We booked this place at the last minute for a short break in York. Overall impressions - staff/owners were friendly and efficient. Room was lovely - we booked economy but were given a bigger room on arrival as we were staying for a couple of nights. The room itself was spacious and pleasant - in slight need of refurbishment, but...
