I've just completed a total of 4 nights in Room 1 at Gregory's Guest House and am certainly pleased with my choice of accommodation in this lovely city. Bev and Martin are a very friendly couple with a wealth of local knowledge; it is obvious that they take great pride in their guest house and do everything they can to...

Found Gregory's via a search engine and very pleased we did! A lovely b&b about a 10-15min walk out of York. We received a very warm welcome from Martin and Bev who own Gregory's. We were shown to our room, then hot drinks were brought up for us, with home made shortbread. Such a lovely touch, we thought. We had...

We spent 4 very pleasant days at Gregory's. The room was very comfortable and immaculately clean. Bev & Martin make you very welcome and the location is a short distance from the millennium bridge on the river with footpaths either side and about a mile's pleasant stroll into the city. We didn't use the car once.

We stayed a Gregory's for the second time in June of this year (on a visit to see the excellent Mystery Plays in York Minster), and thoroughly enjoyed it. It isn't like visiting a B&B, but more akin to staying with relatives or old friends, with nothing being too much trouble and the stay is coupled with a very convivial...
