Arrived on the day and we were given a family room. The owners were super friendly and really helpful. The room was fine for the price and the parking is a bonus in York! Loved the self service brekkie as it stopped us from overfeeding ourselves before a busy day in York. Great short walk into York. The only small...

I've given this place a two star rating because I can only think of two positives regarding our stay here. The first being its location, it's right by the river with decent onsite parking at no extra cost which can be hard to find in York. The second positive was the lovely lady who welcomed us upon arrival, despite the...

Very tired & tatty decor, tiny bathroom you can hardly move around in with a leaking saniflow toilet, only 1 bedside lamp! Needs a good clean plenty of cobwebs, don't think the bathroom fan has ever been cleaned. Breakfast leads a lot to be desired, is extremely poor & nothing to help people suffering food allergies, also nobody around to...

We booked this because we were going to a dinner which coincided with a race weekend and everywhere was full. It was not too far from where we wanted to be. Parking was very tight with only four small spaces one of which you could not get in in my opinion. I drive a micra and only one person could...

We stayed recently and after reading previous reviews, was very disappointed. We had a family room. The double bed was unbelievably creaky and noisy and you felt as if you were about to fall through it. On investigation, I discovered that about 7 slats were missing and the gap had been covered with a wooden board, which slid about! The...

Was there for 2 nights with family and trusted 3,5 rating would be OK. rooms are in need of a serious refurbishing : better phonic insulation from the street, replacing beds , ventilation in bathroom too noisy, superslow wifi connection .... I was expected a continentl breakfast but it was a self help with very little available. Hosts were invisible...

Great Stay here. Staff were very nice and helpful. Breakfast was continental but great choice. Room was great and bed was very comfy had a great sleep. About 15 min walk to town was very pleasant as you can walk along the riverside. Great stay will be back.
