Just returned after a weekend sightseeing in York. So glad we booked with The Bothy. Just what we needed, quiet, restful, wonderful rooms with everything you need, great hosts who made us feel at home and the breakfast was lovely. Not far from York which was ideal. Would definitely recommend.

The Bothy was easy to find and placed in an idyllic location. The house was set in a lovely garden. The room was spacious and clean with everything in it that you would need. Sue was friendly and booked us in at the Durham Ox in Crayke a good 4 mile walk but well worth it at the end....would definitely...

I booked The Bothy for my partners birthday weekend, from Friday night to Sunday. The drive up was not the best so the wonderfully warm welcome we received and the gorgeous room more than made up for it. Breakfast was very good and there was plenty of choice for any appetite. All in all it was a very lovely stay...

This sweet boutique B&B is a real gem if you're visiting the North York Moors, the Mouse Man centre, the White Horse Walk in Kilburn or anything else in the area. Beautiful gardens, a nice discount at the Ox which is just down the road, I highly recommend this nice little retreat. It's run by an architect and his wife...

Me and my partner stayed in the Garden room and it was absolutely beautiful! Sue was so welcoming and couldn't do more for her guests. The breakfast was lovely; cooked breakfast, fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, tea, coffee, fresh orange etc- all you need to start the day! My partner and I ate at The Durham Ox on the first night...

The Bothy is well placed for visits to York, Harrogate, Whitby etc. because it is an hour or less from all of them. The welcome is warm, the rooms are spacious, and the breakfasts are delicious. It's in a rural location, and has views in every direction. Highly recommended.

When we booked our stay we were looking for a place outside the city of York and we simply hit the jackpot! The location was ideal, less than 30 minutes from York, close enough to enjoy the city, but located in the beautiful countryside. The Bothy B&B owner was extremely hospitable and made us feel right at home. We appreciated...

My partner & I decided to spend the Bank Holiday weekend visiting York & the surrounding area and we chose The Bothy due to the location & the fantastic reviews. The Bothy is a fantastic, comfortable Bed & Breakfast venue which was perfect for our needs. We stayed in the Garden Room as it had a shower as opposed to...

My wife and I spent an excellent weekend at The Bothy. The garden room was beautiful and very clean. To describe The Bothy as a B&B does not do it justice, as the Garden and Ruby rooms are separate from the main house and both have amazing views of the surrounding countryside. Sue is an excellent host and her breakfasts...
