Atmospheric - Haunted - for some reason moved the Bar to the back. This pub could be so special.Still got the "Most Haunted" pictures up - but no enticing Bar. I love this Pub for it's reputation: it maybe losing it's reputation......

It was recently taken over and now big stag parties and hen parties allowed in. So expect to be crushed on the weekend with lecherous men and staggering drunk women. Such a shame as it is really a beautiful and unique building full of history.

Went to the fleece for lunch during day trip to york...lovely warm and friendly atmosphere staff lovely. Both of us had the chicken curry rice poppadom and chips...food plentiful hot and very tasty!! I've been once b4 and found it to be very good then....glad...More

Qpark 2 mins walk from the pub is good value for money car park, manned 24hrs. parked here for 24 hours and paid £14
